First Hybrid

We bought this car for the gas mileage and it paid for itself with my husband?s mileage reimbursement. The space isn?t terrible for such a small vehicle, we fit our family of 5 in it easily the last few months we had it. I averaged 37 mpg but my father in law, who also has an insight, gets up to 60 mpg. I haven?t learned all of his tricks yet. ;o)

Great car

Very reliable and great on gas. This car never gave any problems but the only thing I don't like about it that it's not comfortable.

Great, reliable family car

This car drives well, very solid and has incredible gas mileage around 50 MPG. It's very comfortable and reliable. Needed very little other than oil changes, I think typical of Honda's. Also the cargo area as a hatch back with fold down back seats is really handy. Highly recommend the Honda Insight.

Best Car for the Price

This is an excellent car for getting from A to B without paying at the pump. I averaged about 44 mpg on my commute to work which was 20 miles and mostly state roads/highways. It lacks a lot of convenience features like cruise control and power seats, and the overall ride is fairly noisy and not the most comfortable (you sit low and don't have a ton of legroom so for a 5'10" or taller person like myself your legs are kind of "scrunched" up). It was incredibly reliable and I never had any issues with it mechanically.

This car is perfect for a long term relationship!

The car runs smooth! You don't spend that much in Gas (Hybrid), neither in maintenance, since it is a Honda (really reliable). No need to pay for most of Tolls (since there is a law for Hybrid not to pay it even when using Express Lanes). It is really beautiful (Interior and Exterior).

Great economy car!

This car is very reliable and fun to drive. We live in Michigan and it's even good in winter. I love the great gas mileage!

Extremely reliable but uninspiring performance

In 2010 this vehicle was a low-cost second-gen Toyota Prius competitor that was smaller, cheaper, and got fewer miles per gallon of fuel. Nowadays, its fuel economy is not light years better than some new compact non-hybrid vehicles. However, 40 mpg highway is nothing to sneeze at! The performance of the 86 HP engine is anything but exciting, but the instant boost from 13 hp electric motor when using the accelerator from a stop almost makes up for it. The vehicle is the epitome of reliability though - I have owned it for 4 years (the vehicle is 7 years old) and it's never needed anything more than routine fluids and part adjustments/replacements during its lifetime. Great used car purchase for someone who wants a cheap hybrid.

Reliable and great MPG! Great overall car!

This car is a great everyday driver. Besides great MPG, it is plenty roomy for people and has a good amount of easy access trunk space for travel or whatever. Rear seats fold down for even more room to haul stuff despite looking like a small car. Seats are good design but could use a bit more cushion. Only thing it needs is bigger middle front arm rest.
