Love our car !!!
It is beautiful !! Inside & out !!! It's sporty looking...the ride is comfy & it has sooo much room in it. We honestly love it !!!!
So far so good.
Bought a 2019 Honda Insight Touring with 7000 miles. Have 12,000 on it now and no complaints. Gas isn’t as good in the winter but it’s still better than most anything else on the road. 35-50 mpg depending on temperature and how I drive it. Quick little car for a hybrid but makes a decent amount of noise for no reason at times. It’s not perfect but it sure beats the god awful looks of a Prius with the great dependability of a Honda.
Sporty, quiet and great gas mileage
The driving experience is very smooth and comfortable, and the quietness is wonderful. It has a sporty feel both inside and out. The gas mileage is impressive and so is the interior space.
A sneak of a car
I went to the dealer to buy an accord because I know hondas are reliable cars and ill get the bang for my buck in the long run. That being said, I tested a bunch out and wasn't loving it. Just wasn't the right fit. I tested the Insight THINKING it was a hybrid accord. It was so smooth and drove perfectly. I looked up every review before buying it and here are some things I've seen said about it and what I think about it. 1. Not enough horsepower: I want to start this off by saying I am not a race car driver. With that being said, I hit 80 on this car like nothing. ON ECON mode. Sure the acceleration isn't the best on ECON but it definitely move. When I'm at a red light and want to merge/switch lanes/ get a jump on the guy next to me, I switch it to SPORT and it JUMPS. Literally runs exactly how I want it to. highway speed is great. I always feel faster than any car on the road especially when i need to get somewhere. 2. Drumming engine noise: Yeah it drums a little but unless you're driving in complete silence its barely noticeable. I don't even think about it anymore. TBH, driving ICE cars sound weirder to me these days and their noises get a little too much. This car is dead silent more often than not. I am approaching winter in NY and it does have engine start up in the morning to warm up the car but besides that its all good. The gas milage is great. I drive about 20 miles to work every morning and then 20 miles back with a few stops in between here and there and the gas milage is amazing. I filled the tank up on Sunday ($14 to fill up when there were 2/10 gas bars left.) I still have over half a tank today Thursday morning. Only fills 10 gallons but you definitely get your bang for your buck. Im usually getting 450 miles each fill up. GIANT storage in the back. Honestly I could go on for a while but my point is this is the new accord. You want a cheap affordable car that looks nice. (IMO the back of the Insight is FIREEEEE compared to the accord.) My only complaint is that the EX model doesn't have electric seat adjusters but its all good. I believe its on touring trim. Still solid tho.
Love this
Sleek, great gas mileage and sexy inside. Got the touring and it’s definitely worth the upgrade. Love that it is a hybrid. Apple play and leather interior
great car, but buy your own spare tire
I really like this car. It's comfortable, handles very well and gets great mileage since it's a hybrid. All the newest safety features are included. HOWEVER, there is no spare tire or jack from Honda included, just an air pump if you're lucky enough to have a flat caused by a nail in the tread. If your tire is ruined, you're up the proverbial creek without a paddle. I bought a spare tire and jack kit for about $200, and it fits in the wheel well in the trunk.
Honda Insight, Great 4 door sedan.
I love the Hybrid mileage. Running on the batteries, most of the time, I get 50-60 mpg. The "Lane Assist" is a great way to remind me to stay within the marked lane while "Ride Sharing" for Lyft Inc.
Best hybrid on the market
We have owned a white Honda Insight Touring since July of 2018 and have put almost 30,000 miles on it. It was one of the first Insight's at the dealership! It is very comfortable and fairly quiet in the cabin. My last daily driver before this one was a 2014 Honda CR-V. The CR-V gets half the MPG and feels sluggish compared to the Insight, which is quite peppy. The infotainment system is sleek and modern. The safety features are amazing. Only complaints are that there is barely any cargo space and that the passenger seat cannot be raised up. Also it is deceptively low to the ground. Overall, it is the best car I have ever owned.
Not living up to expectations.
Not really pleased. We have owned the car for less that 8000 miles. Its now in the shop for the third time. Its the camera, on the dash, which monitors outside conditions and feed it into several sensors. When the camera goes out, the dash lights up with multiple warnings. When asking the service tech., if its safe to drive to the dealership, with at lest six or more warnings flashing, the answer was, "It should be". Not a reassuring answer. It when in on a wrecker, again. Is anyone else having electrical problems, that keep coming back?
