Symply excelent. Best option when you have kids

use to Lease my family cars before bought my new 2012 - Had a CRV 2007, Pilot 2009, 2005 ford escape, and a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. and after lease a 2010 Odyssey and rent several for some trips. I decide to buy one..,, Pros: Engine ECO mode, driving comfort, sliding doors, inside room, Backup Camera & entertaining options. I don't have the navi and consider that is not necessary since you can use your own Cell or buy an external GPS. CONS: do not understand why Honda still using a master key's and do not offer the remote options like other good brands.

Great Car To Haul Grandkids

This is the second Odyyssey we have owned. The xxxxxxwith the 2012 are: 1) auto headlights 2) better GPC 3) better backup camera 4) more inside room 5) electric rear lift 6) easier folding of third row seats 6) wind and road noise slightly improved The con's are: 1) not as peppy 2) only GPS or DVD in EXL model-not both as on our prior Odyssey 3) less gas mileage than advertised 4) still has to much wind and road noise

2012 Honda Odyssey Touring

finally pulled the trigger on a 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring during Memorial day weekend. the original thought was to get the EX-L with RES, but it would have bugged me to see the void on the front dash that would have housed the GPS (besides, my wife really needs GPS). the ODYSSEY must have been designed by a Mom for Moms. there is plenty of storage and as its always talked about....there are numerous cup/bottle holders everywhere. there is plenty of power with the engine and having the 6speed on the TOURING helps on those long lazy drives with fuel economy. the interior is well thought out and the added middle seat in the 2nd row make the van a legit eight-seater. however, we've actually taken the seat out as to make it easier to get to the back of the van because of the kids. besides, if you need to put 8 people in the car, its gonna be pretty full. the folding of the seats and/or seat removal are pretty easy. i would not have wanted to purchase a motorized folding feature as the manual system is very good. the 3rd row will fold back into the storage cavity and will be out of sight. Honda even redid the 3rd row by putting the 60% seat on the drivers side and the 40% on the passenger (not a big deal to me until an engineering friend pointed out the flaw with the previous way having the 60% on the passenger side which resulted in the loss of a seating position). be advised that the spare tire now is where the "lazy susan" storage used to be between the 1st and 2nd row so you'll need to move some stuff around to get to it. the GPS is pretty good and it includes traffic updates. the RES is very good as well. ours has not been off since we've bought it. keep in mind that the DVD player does not take all formats of DVD (who has DVD's anymore). lastly, IF YOU PURCHASE the TOURING in PEARL WHITE, be aware that the BODY color and BUMPER color will be off by a shade or two. this bugged me in the beginning, but i've since accepted that this is a paint flaw from HONDA (which is discussed in numerous Odyssey blogs). everyone else with PEARL WHITE has this issue.....so just deal with it. overall, its a great minivan that will give you years and years of service. oh, and you only need to put 87 octane int the tank.

Never thought I would love a mini van

I fought it for years. Finally what made us buy a minivan was a second dog. Love the room! There is enough room to separate the kids when they are arguing! Now we can take more friend with us. No more taking 2 cars. We just came back from a beach vacation, and the car was so easy to clean, with all the seats easily removable. It rides comfortably, and smoothly. As with all Hondas, ( this is our 4th) the road noise is a little pronounced but not bad and in all our Hondas the seat belts become easily twisted. Also, as with all Hondas, love the accessibility of the controlls. Everything feels within reach and intuitive. One other small complaint, the chrome on the outside handles, is easily smudged and always has fingerprint marks on them. I do not like all the exterior chrome on the handles, lots of fingerprints.

Safe

My favorite thing about this car is that it feels stable and safe. Besides all the airbags and other crash protection, there's crash prevention, such as a blind spot indicator. My only complaint is that it is big and hard to park, although the back-up camera and proximity warning beep are helpful. (I gave it a rating of 4 stars for reliability based on Consumers Reports. I haven't had it long enough to judge for myself.)

none

We have owned this van for about 3 months and have 2500 miles on it. We purchased in Oklahoma so we saved thousands which was important due to the fact the Odyssey is pricy. I have long legs so the passenger front is almost uncomforntable. Other that that is van is cool, fun, roomy, and the look is cool.

Real problem with driver seat left food rest

I bought a 2012 odyssey EX-L last month. I had driven a 1998 toyota sienna and 2007 Odyssey EX-L before buying this. I have a few issues with this car. I have sent this issue to Honda also. 1. Driver seat left foot rest is not aligned with accelerator. This cause me to bent my left leg in different way than the right leg. Also left foot rest angle may be an issue too. I do drive long distance and it is causing pain on my left leg. 2. Driver seat does not go up as much it used to be. 3. 3rd row head rest has only two option to set and it will block the rear view even when small kids sit in the back. 4. central storage is taken out and spare tire is put in that place. A few other storage options are also taken out in this model. 5. I get only around 15 mile/gallon in city driving even though the avarage on dash board says 17.8 or 18.2 There are other good things on this Van, but first issue I mentioned is bigger problem for me. I wish they made it adjustabale like seat where we can move forward, backward and tilt based on people's height.
