Good for a large family
This is the 2nd Odessy i have owned, the 2018 has a little play in park, care rolls a few inch. Motor runs rough on regular unleaded, owner manual does not recommend a certain octane, but should. 2nd row seats takes some muscle to take out and put back in. Still a nice family car.

Point A to B car
Poor vehicle deep down when you dissociate yourself from the aggressive 'best van' marketing; not suited for colder climate, plastic paneling separates and causes leaks, FWD only as compared to Toyota Sienna (AWD) so very poor control during winter, slides badly and relatively low ground clearance; snow mode is useless and gives no additional traction; Driver display screen froze once draining the battery needing jump start; persistent problems with 'walk away auto lock'; sluggish pick-up even with sports mode, does not feel sturdy, and have no confidence in the 5 star crash rating; can feel the centrifugal force while turning at more than 35 miles speed; interior trims and panels in the car boot came loose 1 month after purchase; couple of recalls already in couple of months of purchase, 3rd row driver side charger was found to be faulty after purchase; Honda Lane assist does not work most times, radar shuts down in bad weather (certainly not a car for colder climates) and it's a marketing gimmick; engine not so quiet; driver windows shudder and jam at times (more in winters); sliding doors had issues until recalled, middle row seat design of Pacifica is more ergonomic (folds like third row seats, rather than the bulky Honda design, need to be manually taken out risking scratches to paint); only one smart-phone USB port for the screen so cannot use anything else when the phone is connected. Not to mention very poor customer service and everything is managed by dealers, Honda corporation is in no position to help with issues, perhaps don't want to; misleading advertising

Transmission failure at 75,411 miles !
I knew this was going to happen; Honda decided to "re-engineer" the transmission for the 2018 Honda Odyssey, and it's going to be a HUGE HEADACHE for the company! I have owned a 2007, 2011,2014, and now, a 2018 Honda Odyssey. I drive an average of 400 miles per day, 90% Highway, in the North Carolina Piedmont area. Love my 2014 for the most part. Put over 300k miles on it before trading, and never had any major mechanical issue. From the very beginning, I was not happy with the 2018. The transmission acted like it never new what gear to go into, and I was getting worse fuel mileage than the 2014 model. I started noticing noise from the drive train early on. If I eased off the gas, while slowing down in traffic, or approaching a stop light, and then re-accelerated, many times the transmission would hesitate, and then "bang" into gear, making a metal-on-metal noise. At first, it was not very loud, and just slightly noticeable, but as time went by and I put more mile on the car, it became louder and much more noticeable! I took it to Autopark Honda in Cary several times with this complaint.. and I would always get the "We can't replicate the problem" response. The last time I took it in, the car had about 58,000 miles on it and the drive train warranty soon to expire. That time, the mechanic acknowledged that the was definitely an issue, and had communicated with Honda Tech, but no resolution offered! I was told that they would "stand behind the car", should something happen. Well, something happened.. the transmission failed. The first call from a Service Advisor told me the repair would cost almost $6,200 ! But then added that they would submit a claim to Honda Goodwill. The next day, I was informed that Honda would pay all but $1261 (which must be their actual hardware cost), of the repair. I find this unacceptable! While I appreciate that they are willing to pay a large part of the cost; a Honda transmission should not fail at 75,000 miles.. period! Honda stupidly decided to re-engineer a perfectly good transmission, and came up with a dud. I am also sure that my situation will not be an isolated one. During my 58,000 mile visit, I was given a 2019 Odyssey as a loaner for a few days. It made the very same noise! So if you own a 2018 or newer Odyssey... beware! And make certain that you are having the transmission fluid serviced every 30k miles, or you will no doubt be denied any help when (no if), your transmission fails.

Amazing for a minivan, it has everything!
My minivan is perfect for highway driving. Adaptive cruise, rear entertainment, premium sound, apple car play w/ wireless charging for my phone. By far the best car I have ever owned.

Miss my 2016 Honda Odyssey
I've had several issues with things not working. I've asked several times if it was ever in a flood and get no answer. Would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Most enjoyable and comfortable car I could ask for
The car hugs the road. The electronics in the car make it a joy to drive. I have reached a point that I only drive Honda Odysseys.

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.
I hear of some major concerns about this van, however we have had no issues, and are very satisfied to date. Drives very well, has what seems to be a lot of safety features. The exterior fit could have been been better, some of the trim does not line up 100 percent. Our last Odyssey still runs well with 200 thousand miles on it according to the current owner. I expect many years of service from our Odyssey. I would buy this van again, we currently have 22,000 miles on it.
