Terrific family cruiser
Lots of room in all 3 rows, storage nooks and crannies all over the vehicle, DVD rear entertainment system with wireless headphones works great - this car was built with big families in mind. Long road trips are easily managed. Engine and transmission are snappy and smooth, respectively, like all good Hondas. Handling is confident and competent, despite the car's size. I'm expecting years of trouble-free satisfaction

2009 PILOT THE "THE ONE YOUVE BEEN WAITING FOR!"
JUST PICKED UP OUR PILOT ON JULY 3RD, TEST DROVE THE FOLLOWING: 2008 HIGHLANDER SPORT 2008 SUBURBAN LT 2008 GMC ACADIA 2008 MAZDA CX9 WE HAVE ALWAYS OWNED SUBURBANS, BUT JUST COULDNT PURCHASE ANOTHER TO PURCHASE ANOTHER. THE OPTIONS EVERYTHING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM ON THIS PILOT ARE WHAT WE WANTED. WE PURCHASED THE EXRES-L4WD AND DROVE IT 600 MILES ALREADY AND HAVE LITTLE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT WE PURCHASED THE ALL WEATHER MATS WHICH ARE A SAVIOR AT THE BEACH. THE REAR ONE IS LARGE AND DOES NOT FIT IF THE BACK SEAT IS NOT DOWN, THERE IS NO WHERE TO STOW IT SO I AM NOT SURE WE WILL GET THE USE OUT OF IT.

Amazing SUV!
I just moved from my 1996 Ford Explorer to the 2009 Honda Pilot, and what a difference! The car-like ride is much improved over the truck-like ride I had. The gadgetry is amazing! Voice recognition, blue-tooth, Navigation, and it has tons of room. My test is if I can "camp out" in the back - I'm 6'3" tall, and went camping last weekend. Worked great! I'm getting about 19 mpg overall with the loaded Touring model

My second Pilot
Can't beat it for the money. Much improved for 2009; traded my 2007 pilot for a new one. Has more standard features (in Touring trim) than the wife's ml350.

Waited but sadly disappointed on 2009 Pilot
Was looking forward to a bigger Pilot and it certainly is an improvement in space over the previous style --even loved the look from the outside. Disappointed with the front interior. Too much car, not as open with great visibility as the older Pilot. Dash is too bulky, too high, and light colored instrumentations too distracting. The deal killer was, interestingly enough, the new front head rests. At 5'6", there was no comfortable position for my neck. It felt like a torture rack! Salesman said many people notice this and he tells them to recline the seat but I don't drive in a reclined fashion. I am unable to sit back and relax as I drive because the head rest pushes my head forward with no neck contact. Unbelievable! Waited ten years, had the husband committed to purchase and ended up buying a new 2008. I am still glad of this but sure wish the 2009 had worked out. Sniff, sob.

Very nice SUV
I just purchased a 2009 Honda Pilot. I have owned other SUVs before and I will not be buying another one any time soon. Great car! I love everything about it especially the space.
