Aesthetically pleasing.

Visually the best looking Pilot ever. Seats could be a little more comfortable, and the option for a wireless charger, like my other 2018 vehicle, would be a great feature.

My 2008 Honda Pilot

Today my car reached 399,999 kilometers and the odometer is not moving. I love this car, one of the best investment I have ever made. Thank you to the engineering team at Honda for making a great car.

For the price it has a lot of things that need to

Arm rests are cheap and uncomfortable. Impossible to go through an automatic car wash 9 speed transmission shifts down for no apparent reason Apple phone not compatible with Honda computer Hate the engine shutoff and restart at stops Slow takeoff from stops Speakers suck

Car makes a really bad noise when it hits a bump

I would have really like the vehicle but dealing with the constant noise I wouldn’t want anyone to experience this. I would love to file a lemon law on this vehicle because it’s not worth keeping.

3-Season SUV: NON-FUNCTIONING HEATER

If you are considering buying a new Honda Pilot this summer you should read this first. We bought a 2018 Honda Pilot last May and were overall satisfied with this SUV - that is until the winter temperatures arrived. At this time we found out that Honda Pilots do not come with a functioning heater. In fact when we brought the Pilot to the Honda Dealership for service, their data indicated that the air temperature coming out of the heater vents from a fully warmed-up engine was only 28°F. The Honda Service Advisor told me that Honda now installs undersized heater cores into the Pilot to save money and therefore there was nothing they could do to fix it. Honda Corporate Customer Service told us that our heater is functioning ‘normally’. Sorry to disagree Honda, but a heater should not deliver sub-freezing air into the cabin. Ironic that Honda has TV ads showing their SUVs driving in -30°F temperatures in Baudette MN but looking back they do not show how many layers of clothes the drivers are wearing. If you want a 3-season SUV the Honda Pilot has been a fine SUV (so far). However if you live in an area where you might need a functioning heater there are far better choices out there these days. Rather pathetic that Honda admits that sub-freezing cabin temperatures are acceptable for their SUVs. Perhaps Honda should take note that their SUV reliability and owners satisfaction scores have been going down for years. Buyer beware!

Great family hauler!!!

I really love the comfort of the 3rd gen Pilot. We recently had family visiting us in Hawai'i, and we hauled 8 in the SUV with ease. It's V6 engine is smooth and strong. The 3rd row seat is comfortable, and there is still available space even with the 3rd row up. Cargo space with the 2nd & 3rd row is cavernous. There are A/C vent for all 8 passengers! I like the exterior desing and the 18" two tone rims. Unfortunately 2018s don't have a physical power/volume knob, which I find annoying. The 6 speed automatic transmission works very well (recommend you go for this transmission). I seen horrible YouTube videos of the 9/10 speed transmissions. Those transmissions are a ticking time bomb. I recommend this vehicle in 2016-2018 in the LX, EX & EX-L trims. The Apple Play/Android auto integrates extremely well with the vehicle. Cannot say about the Touring and Elite trims for 2018. I read Honda addressed the transmission issues in the top two trims for 2019, but only time will tell...
