1980s design for the 2005.

Car came with a tape deck, yes, a tape deck, to go with its retro 1980s body. I was forced into buying this vehicle because it had only 30,000 miles on it in its 13 year existence. It is an embarrassment to the roads and if you live where it gets below 32, the hatch door will come crashing down on your head no matter what you do.

Comfortable, Fun, Efficient, and Family Friendly

This car has been quite a surprise. It runs well, and has ample room in the front and the back seats. We have the hatchback, and the cargo space is pretty impressive. The 5 spd manual shifts smoothly, and the car is responsive and fun to drive, even while performing admirably as a family car.

Extremely reliable

My car has 330 thousand miles on it with no major repairs. This car is near bullet proof. It sips gas and besides going though headlight bulbs once a year is pretty infallible.

need the one of the best RELIABLE cars?

No one takes a second look at this car cause of dated looks. But they will pass up a Great car. If reliability and cost is a concern. Can't go wrong with this car . Just like all cars simple maintenance is required. High lights: inter design nice, amazing comfort (goes over bumps like the big sedans), tires cost very little, reliability Great across the board (by me and professional responces) and actually a fun little car.

what a reliable workhorse!!

bought brand new October 2005 w/37 miles, NOW 180k: spent 6 years as wife's daily driver + 2 as 'utility car' (vacuous hatchback) + 2 with neglectful daughter, which prompted wife to TAKE IT BACK for the last 2, returning as her work commuter instead of our new grandkid-hauling minivan (she LOVES this car!). Bottom line: a very basic 'plain jane' that STILL drives well (local daily, Florida twice, Hilton Head thrice, Texas 5 times!!) and besides brakes/oil/tires/etc. the ONLY mechanical parts that have been replaced are a loud 'flex' exhaust pipe and the O2 sensor (this was easier to replace than a spark plug!! open the hood, and it's staring up at you!!). Amazingly resilient!!

Nice surprise!!

It's a nice economical car. I enjoy it and it's great on gas. The car handles well and it's got some power for a small sized car.
