Regret this purchase

Bought a santa fe (sport, v6, awd) new off the lot. I liked the styling; price was good for the available features and reliability and customer satisfaction was high. Vehicle was maintained by the book, fast forward 8 years and 127,000 km suffered engine failure and required costly replacement. No accountability from Hyundai for what contributed to this. I recommend avoiding Hyundai entirely.

Most frustrating Hyundai that I’ve ever owned it a

Ever since the day that I purchased this car I’ve been getting contacted probably about once a year for some sort of an update or some BS that Hyundai says needs to be done to the car although it may be free never had a new car need so much stuff done to it I put down three stars and reliability because they have known mechanical issues that don’t rear their head until just after the drivetrain warranty is up! I personally brought the vehicle and had the timing chain tensioner is changed and it was actually a cam phaser problem and now it’s 2600 miles over the original warranty and I will probably have to pay for it out of my pocket

My favorite vehicle purchase ever!

This vehicle is comfortable and excellent on gas. It is a quiet ride and I feel safe in it. Worth every dime! It's made durable.

Unhappy owner.

I was a purchaser of a 2001 brand new Hyundai Santa Fe which I loved and should not have sold. The only problem in 10 years was the ac unit. In early 2013, I was concerned about the high mileage so I bought a used 2010 model GLS to replace it. I now have 114K miles on it and am not what you would call a wild and crazy driver. I have had issues with the ac unit, numerous electrical components and the drive train and recently have put $2K in just the drivetrain. No accidents, highway driven and repaired when needed. I will say that it gets better gas mileage than my first one did although it is a larger vehicle being a GLS model. I love the sunroof and leather interior. Will be trading shortly and do not intend to replace it with a newer one.

Will not buy no more hyundia products

The transmission started jumping in gear when slowing down with only 122000 mile on the small SUV. The small SUV was a very good driving and handling SUV . The power steering rack had to be replaced with only 2 years old

one of the best I have driven

Just loved this vehicle, did everything well, and the 4 wheel drive was excellent could go anywhere. Had the 6 cylinder , lots of pep, Would have gotten another but I found that the 6 cylinder used lots of gas, and I thought the 4 was a bit too under rated for such a heavy SUV
