2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited - Nice car
I admired the styling on these cars for some time and now I was in the market to buy one. I compared the VW Jetta, Toyota Camry and Corolla, Mazda 6, and Saturn Aura. The VW was more fun to drive and had more performance, but had an awful console that killed my right leg, plus the warranty was 3yrs 36k and I was concerned about the high repair costs. The Camry and Corolla were overpriced relative to the features I could get in the Hyundai. The Saturn Aura was not enjoyable so I went back and looked again at the Sonata. I put together a chart and used ratings from the internet to arrive at my decision after driving them all. Bottom line - you can't get this much car (features wise) in any other car without spending about 3-4k more. Plus the warranty is incredible and the features again! The drive is fine for highway but there is a lot of road noise on bumpy roads which I don't like. But practicality beat emotions this time and I think that I came out the overall winner!

2009 Hyundai Sonata
I just purchased a 2009 Sonata Limited edition, before buying I looked at Lexus and a couple of other high end cars and I found that money wise none of them could come close to the price and the equipment (sunroof, Nav system XM radio) and the ride is great and so is the handling, I never see you writing to much about the Hyundais. As far as I am concerned ( I have had four) there is nothing bette out there , Thanks Leo.

Great Car for the $$$
I traded in a '03 Camry when I purchased my '09 Sonata. In 2003 when I purchased my Camry I considered the Sonata but wasn't that impressed, but in the last few years Hyundai's quaility has improved. However I had no idea just how much it has improved....I was AMAZED! Not only was the Sonata much less, but its a better car overall.

"First Sonata and boy am I proud,I did"
I was going to buy an Accord or Camry when I decided to also test drive the 08' Sonata SE. As soon as I got it in, I knew it had something special. I had not expected this out of a Hyundai. I couldn't find an 08' when I was ready to purchase it so I decided to get the 09' Limited V6 instead in Willow Gray(nice color!). It offers heated leather seats, and the works. I opted not to get the built-in bluetooth or navigation. (The less distractions, the better). It offers an excellent, comfortable, & quiet ride.30 days and 1,015 miles later here's the scoop: Mileage is about 17-18 mpg/local and I'm averaging 23-25/hwy.(Not bad considering it's a 249 Horsepower/6 Cylinder). The ride is very smooth and almost feels like a Cadillac/BMW. The clean and vibrant Infinity speaker system is definitely worth it, considering it comes standard. (Not necessary to change it or modify it whatsoever). I'm loving the XM radio as well. The trunk space is awesome compare to its competitors. The dash is immaculate and has a touch of European flair. Main difference from the 08' is that the ride is smoother and engine has more punch, seats are more plush, dashboard is cleaner, and the Audi style re-designed headlights. Hint, Hint, Clue, Clue: So what if it's resale value is not like it's peers in its class. Consider the money you would have laid out for the others with the same features, saved. If you're looking for value, style, and performance in a mid-size sedan, give this car a serious consideration vs. its competitors. (Camry,Accord,Malibu and the like.)
