2012 Hyundai limited

Bought this car for its gas mileage, warranty and HP along with its safety reviews. After a month of driving I am happy with it. My two complaints are the seat bottom is to stiff and gets uncomfortable after an hour (also passanger seat is not power) and price was a little high for moving up to a limited but the zero percent made it affordable and plan to keep it at least five years.

Big Bang for Value

The car is roomier than it looks. Power from the 2.4L is great for daily commuting. The MPG's are good and can be achieved. I had a road trip that the computer started with 22mpg and ended with 33mpg. The car is responsive and solid. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for good looks, feature loaded (cd, blue tooth, sat radio, power windows, power locks, etc...), decent power and handling, and reasonably priced.

Excellent Value

I got a new 2012 sonata that lives up the hype. Quiet ride than all cars except the camry, nice set of features for the price, excellent fuel efficiency (27 MPG in CITY). The seats and a bit firm but it can be fixed by using a seat cushion. The new electronic steering needs getting used to, its not that different from a traditional steering just that on sharp turns you may feel its about to slip but its really not.....just a quick feel that you will get used to in 3-4 days. Didnt have to use the warranty and havent had the car long enough to comment on reliability. I know the service manager at the Hyundai Dealer used to work at a Toyota and then a Nissan Service dealer for 20+ years before coming to Hyundai. He vouched that the quality of the new hyundai is on par with these japanese cars based on his long experience....Hyundai is a great value for money, hope their brand reflects that in the coming years!!

Excellent car

I've only owned my Sonata for 2 months, but I love it. The value for the money, interior & exterior design, gas mileage etc is excellent. My 6'4" family fits very nicely with lots of interior room-and in fact are more comfortable in this car than in our Explorers. The only slightly negative things I can say are (1) I wish the steering wheel would go an inch or two higher and (2) the engine is a bit sluggish between 45-50 mph. Neither item diminishes the thrill of driving this car! I absolutely recommend this car!

Unreliable Steering

Bought Sonata Limited; loved it till we drove it for over an hour. The electronic steering control is unreliable; pulling the car from left to right, which is dangerous in rush hour traffic. Constantly having to steer like wind is blowing car. Have taken it back to dealer 4 times, called corporate, who admitted they have had problems with the electronic steering on this model. Two dealers told us not to bring the car back, as they cannot fix the problem. Manager at local Hyundai told us that we have to learn how to drive the car! How insulting! We paid top price for this car and feel unsafe when driving on straight road because car pulls. Same manager drove the car, saying he could feel it pull; when in right lane the car pulls to the right. When in left lane, car pulls to the left. His solution was to drive in the middle lane, he thinks it wont pull in the middle lane! Again, how insulting!

Bought The Hyundai

Overall I'm pleased with the car. The hidden costs associated with the warranties negate the overall purchase experience. Gets 25 mpg, not the 35 advertised.

Hyundai Sonata a great replacement for Infinit M35

I previously drove an 06 Infinit M35 and had gotten used to certain bells and whistles, including heated seats, backup camera, sunroof, etc. The Sonata delivers on all of those comforts, but at a much more reasonable price. The interior is very comfortable, it gets better gas mileage, and it's nice to look at! The black exterior and camel leather interior combo I purchased is very classly looking. The navigation package was a must for me and I am very happy with it. I am not impressed, however, with the BlueLink service, and will not be paying for it once the trial period has ended.

Excellent Value with Moderate Luxury

Owned a 2.0L Turbo Limited for 6 months and 15,000 miles now. Couldn't be happier. Getting well over 30mpg in 80% Interstate driving. Very comfortable, plenty of passing/merging power. Turbo is extremely smooth, you can't tell when it kicks in or out, you just get power when you expect it. Not a luxury car, but has most of the features that really matter in a luxury car for much less. Controls are placed well, nav system is better than average, road noise is fairly low, trunk is nice and spacious. Excellent choice for a mid priced commuter car.
