Excellent Car

I bought this car a couple weeks ago and I could not have made a better choice. It drives well. It is comfortable and spacious. I also choose Hyundai because I was previously driving a Hyundai model and it absorbed most of the impact of the serious car accident I was in....I almost lost my life. I walked away with some injuries but it could have been worse. I am now loyal to buying a Hyundai now and in the future. It is a very safe reliable car. Thank you to Phillips Auto Dealer for selling it to me. Thank you to the manufacturer. I highly recommend this car. The warranty is also great.

First Import in 4 Decades

Sonora 2.0T Ultimate seems to be a great car. I drove an import in the 70's and it took 45 years to forget how bad it was. I was shopping for a replacement for our 2011 Impala. Unfortunately the great 3.5 six has been replaced with a underpowered 4 cylinder. My brother in law suggested Hyundai since he has owned 3. I reluctantly agreed to look expecting the cheap, plastic, underpowered creatures whose body rusted going through a carwash. I took a Sonora GL for a test drive and while it was OK, it really didn't resonate with me. I asked about the turbo version. Our sales person brought out a 2017 Sonora Turbo 2.0T Ultimate. What a difference. Quick, nimble, agile, powerful and most of all supremely comfortable. Planets away from the 70's imports. After spending several hours reading reviews (I still harbored my bias against imports), we decided to purchase the car we had driven. So far, we are so impressed with the Sonata. It is as I said quick, agile nimble and comfortable. The sport suspension make it a hoot for an old guy to drive. The only fly in the ointment have been the Khumo tires. They are not well suited to Saskatchewan winters. We bought winter tires and rims which should solve traction issues. Our sales person characterized the Sonora as a safe, reliable and durable car. I think it is much more than that. The Sonora is well worth a look.

Satisfying Car

I had been researching cars for several years. My 1999 Chrysler Sebring convertible at nearly 250,000 miles had been showing it's age for some time and I was preparing for the inevitable day it finally couldn't go on. I've always liked Hyundais for numerous reasons: they look good, great mileage, and last a long time. My sister and mother each have 2013 Accents that they purchased new and almost 5 years later they still haven't needed anything other than routine maintenance. I've had my Sonata for 10 months as I write this and have put 24,000 miles on it. Aside from routine maintenance I've had no reason to take it for service. It's comfortable and roomy, I actually enjoy driving places. My favorite feature is the infotainment system. When I bought the car I had an iPhone and several months in I switched to Android so I was able to try both. Apple Carplay is nice and pretty but I personally find Android Auto to be more useful and better integrated. The touch screen interface is nice and the menus are pretty simple. If you're worried about it being too complicated, your dealer can help you set it up before you drive off the lot so don't be discouraged by that. My family personally always drive our Hyundais in Eco mode because we like to see how great of mileage we can get. I have a Sonata Sport but I only use the Sport mode when I'm passing people on the highway for the extra power. My driving is almost evenly split between city and highway and I average between 30 and 34 mpg on each tank of gas. I primarily chose my car because I like reliability, when I buy a car I am very proactive about maintenance and short of an accident I want a car that I can get at least a couple hundred thousand miles or decades out of. The awesome Hyundai warranty doesn't hurt either. If there's a Hyundai model you like the look of, I would urge you to definitely test drive it before you make a decision.

Loaded with everything you need!

I traded a 2009 Sonata with 126,000 miles for this car, a Sonata Limited with the turbo 4 cylinder. From air conditioned seats to LED running lights and an auto repositioning drivers seat, this car has everything I need. The electronics connected effortlessly with my iPhone and iPod, and the navigation system is clear, intuitive, and easy to control. The zenon headlights are very bright, and the interior lighting is the best I?ve seen. When you approach the car, the door handles light up, it unlocks and turns on a bright cabin light. You can lock/unlock with a remote, a button on the door handle, or simply by being close to the car. The ride is firm, but not harsh. Steering is also very firm, perhaps even a bit too much, but it may loosen a bit with miles. The ride is very quiet, one of the reasons I selected this model. Controls on the steering wheel are intuitive and run the media and phone connections with ease. Sound system is excellent! Mileage is rated 35 on the highway, I did a little better than that for a combined city/highway of 30+ mpg. The turbo 4 is very strong and passing is a breeze. There are many safety features, such as blind spot warning and cross traffic warnings and comprehensive air bags. Overall, a strong, roomy, comfortable and quiet car with navigation and a great sound system. I am very pleased with this car.

Stylish, Comfortable and Reliable. Great Price

I have the Sonata Sport, the added exterior features fools the eye in thinking it is a higher end luxury vehicle. I enjoy the Apple CarPlay and backup camera. When looking at vehicles I got more added features for a better price. I switched from a Nissan Altima and I was thrilled of the trunk space the sonata. I really enjoy my Sonata Sport. I purchased used witg only 9,000 miles on it.
