Don’t buy dealership useless

Bought our Tucson from them because had a 2001 sonota that was great. With this brand new 2017 Tucson that still only has 17,000 miles. We have had it at the dealership 3 times over past 6 months for same problem noise when starting car noise from transmission when driving and car has rough idle at stop each time they keep it for 3-5 weeks don’t offer a car to use while it’s there keep giving it back to us with same issue not resolved you have to leave multiple messages to get a call back horrible customer service they rude when my wife and have spoken to different people from here. No confidence in mechanics that they can’t seem to fix it and return it to us with problems not resolved. Even managers don’t return calls. Have been back 2 more times just got car back again and with 15 miles noise is back. Told by dealer we can leave it again if we want safe to drive with noise don’t know what it is. They also charged us for new air filter and fuel injection cleaning to see if that resolved it. When it didn’t wasn’t refunded. Don’t even want it anymore would prefer my money back or trade in for new one since we can’t drive this one and it can’t be fixed right it’s a lemon but have not been given that option may have to contact an attorney or go to the news so every one can see how long time customer treated. Complained to corporate also was told over 2 weeks ago they would call m back. No call back still despite us leaving multiple messages.

YOU WILL LOVE IT 'TIL THE ENGINE FAILS

I bought this new in 2017, and thought I had found my dream car at a decent price. It's not super comfortable for a tall person, but I enjoyed driving it. Other than the right-side headlight going out a couple of times, it gave me zero problems. I changed the oil every 3,000 miles and did all scheduled maintanence. At 130,000 miles on the way home from work, the engine started making a ticking sound and by the time I got home it had turned into a knocking sound that resembled a diesel engine. Estimate for an install of a USED engine is $9300! I still have 3 payments on this piece of JUNK. Don't believe me? Just Google search "2017 Hyundai Tucson engine problems." It's the Chevy Vega of modern small SUVs.

Horrible experience

I bought the Tucson over a year and half ago and the engine starting knocking. My Suv has been at the shop for almost two and half weeks. I keep getting the run around. I been renting a vehicle for over two weeks. I will never buy another Hyundai again. The customer service through Hyundai has been horrible. The only bright side is at least the mechanic make effort to follow up. Still waiting on a resolution this is ridiculous.

Love the Tucson

I absolutely love this car!! I've had it almost two years and really enjoy driving it. I have the Ruby Wine Sport. This is my 2nd Hyundai. Previously I had a 2007 Sonata and loved it. It was an awesome Sedan (Frankie Sonata). Just wanted a crossover, I guess! No regrets.

ABS WHEEL SENSOR

I have a 2017 Tucson which I absolutely love. It has just over 17,000 miles. The ABS wheel sensor is causing dashboard idiot lights to come and stay on. Recalls for that on every year except for 2017. It upsets me why they are not recalling 2017 when this seems to be happening to a lot of people

Never Buying a Hyundai Again

The car is 5 years old and the ac is broken, and the door actuators are bad so I can’t lock my doors or else they won’t open. Also, the transmission seems to be failing as well. The car shakes when it reaches 65 mph. Also, if I am sitting in the carline at my kid’s school the car sort of bounces when I hit the brakes.

Constantly having to replace brake light bulbs

Overall my 2017 Tucson hasn't given me any major problems. However I would like to know if any other owners have experience, having to change the brake light bulbs every 3 -6 months. I have on several vehicles for 5 plus years but never had had to replace brake light bulb. I really feel like this is some type of defect. Also my turn signal component had to be replaced.

Love my Tu-Tu

I absolutely love Tu-Tu as I affectionately call her. I have had her new from the dealership and I am thinking about upgrading to the 2022 model to get some of the upgrades. She has never let me down. I have the 2017 model and I just hit 100,000 miles, never a concern...I drive my car!!!!

Engine blew up with no warning at 80,000 miles

I truthfully liked this car when I first got it at 50,000 miles from a Honda dealership the salesman was obviously good at lying and told me how reliable this will be for many years. It was great on gas for a small suv and it was affordable. After driving a few months I realized it does not accelerate at all. I treat this car good, getting scheduled oil changes and maintenance. Now I am at 89,000 and my car is at the dealership waiting 3+ weeks to have the engine rebuilt. Luckily I paid extended warranty but at first I was told I didn’t and the cost for repairs were almost $13,000 (more than the worth) with no promise even finding an engine because there are no engines available for this car. I had no warning or signs that something was wrong and the mechanics let me know these cars have a strong history of doing this at 80,000 miles I will never buy Hyundai and encourage you to stay away.
