Jeep Cherokee

I like the jeep cherokee overall. I traded my 2014 Ram Hemi for this Jeep and I miss my power. But I needed a cheaper payment. I feel like it shifts weird, not like the truck so that just may take some getting use to. I have the active drive but also says 4x4 but no where is there a 4x4 lock to put it into 4x4 so I don't know if its always 4wd or what the salesman was a flake but they had the cherokee i wanted so ya know how that goes

Look at a Newer Cherokee

I bought the new style Cherokee in 2014. The 9 speed V6 engine has been quirky, sluggish and unpredictable (4/5 in performance.) Reliability is also questionable. I've had 6 recalls fixed, including the one when the engine quit on me while driving (4/5 on reliability.) Do I like the Cherokee? Yes! Do I like MY Cherokee? NO! Stay away from the 2014 Cherokee, and go with a newer model...

Great Extras on the Limited

Ride is smooth and real joy to ride. I love the passing alerts and the back up camera. Great visibility. Auto high beam is a super feature.

Make sure your jeep as 4X4

I love all except the fact it doesn't have four wheel drive, hate it because of this. I got it in November 2016 and want to get rid of it. I don't even understand why Jeep sells a vehicle that's not 4 wheel drive!

Love my Jeep

First time owning a SUV. I'm used to driving a smaller car, so my Jeep seemed like a tank! This vehicle is very roomy and classy looking. It handles well and the drive is smooth, particularly in deep snow. I'm very happy with the dashboard and lighting details in the interior. I've seen other vehicles with red or blue dashboard lighting and it's very distracting. The only negative is that this car is very thirsty!

Best Car I've Owned

I've driven Jeeps since I was 16 years old and this one is my favorite. It's right in the middle of the Patriot and Grand Cherokee I used to drive. The interior is very comfortable and user friendly. Easy to drive, and looks sharp.

Too many recalls

I got this car as I have bad knees and I could get in and out without difficulty. I actually did not have a great deal of problems. Near the end of my lease I noted the transmission seemed to slip and I did not want to go into traffic fast not knowing if the car would pick up or not. The lift gate also had a mind of its own...which was a headache...literally.

A Good Vehicle

I gave this vehicle mostly 4 stars because I've never owned a Jeep before, so the jury's still out on performance and reliability. I also gave it 4 stars because for the 7 years I've driven Lexus vehicles and you cannot compare the two. For now, so far, so good with my Jeep and if it works out, I may just get another one!
