Lap of Luxury

This is, by far, the most comfortable vehicle I've been in. Controls are at the ready and it drives like a dream. The shifting is occasionally jerky but it smooths out well.

Bad experience for first car

As my first car, I did pretty extensive research into which car/brand I wanted to buy. From the other reviews around the internet, It seemed like this car would be a comfortable, safe and stylish choice. After 2 months of use, resulting in just over 900 miles, the car has been back to the dealer on 2 separate occasions for repairs. In the first incident, the car had faulty windshield wipers that wouldn't turn off. This took ~2 days to fix, no big deal. The second incident, however, was more serious. While driving in stop and go traffic, the engine shut off and the check engine light came on. After taking it to the dealer, they determined it was an electrical problem with the transmission and the ABS. While this car is comfortable and fun, it seems to me that it was rushed into production and there are unsolved problems with the consistency.

A Jeep that lasts

The last Jeep lasted 11 years. This one looks like it should last longer. It has a great deal of extras that are fantastic!

A Few Surprises

We are very happy with our purchase and most everything is as we expected it with a few surprises. The Cherokee Latitude does not have Auto Lights and in this price range with all the steering wheel controls and such we were disappointed and surprised that this is not included. We were also surprised that there is no CD player included with the radio. We aren't ready to give up the CD feature just yet. The most disappointing for us is that the research on Cars.com and our Sales Representative at the dealership told us you can get a hitch receiver for all models of the Cherokee and the dealerships are now telling us they only have one for the Trailhawk. Now that the papers are signed we can't do anything about it and the trailer hitch was a high priority for a wheelchair carrier. We love the interior and the seats are more comfortable than others in this price range. An important feature for me is that there is room for my gas peddle foot to sit comfortably with my leg and foot straight rather than having to angle my foot. So far the gas mileage is close to the MPG estimates but we only have about 500 miles.

Great value for the money

I traded in a 2010 Subaru Forester with 96k miles for our 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited, V6 with a tow package and dual panoramic roof. While I think the Subaru performs a little better in the snow, the comfort, ride, and features (ie heated seats, heated steering wheel, and heated wipers) of the Jeep are great. We love the panoramic roof. It makes the inside seem roomier. We love everything about it so far. The only minor complaint I have is that the headlights could be brighter. May have to try changing the bulbs. Oh yeah, my wife was not a fan of the subaru (noisier and bumpier ride) but she loves our new Cherokee.

Most comfortable SUV ever owned.

Excellent driver and passenger seating and visibility. Leather seating is easy to adjust, excellent fit and finished upholstry. Cold weather package is a valuable feature. Trailhawk model is quiet with no noticeable road noise. The 9 speed transmission is extremely smooth and really helps with the overall MPG rating. Right now, I am averaging 22.6 mpg with V-6 engine.
