Looks great, comfortable, peppy

Bought this car because as soon as I saw it I thought it was the best looking SUV I've ever seen. Bonus was that the car rides so well and performs great! I was pleasantly surprised at how much pep the 3.2 engine has! The car is so comfortable we've taken it on several long trips and it rides almost as well as my wife's SRX! Only possible downside is that the economy isn't all that great - about 17 city and 24 highway. But I didn't buy it for that reason and I believe it does come with a 4 cylinder version, too.

Avoid this car

Purchased new. Had to have transmission replaced at 18k miles. This was covered under warranty. I am constantly bringing this car in for recalls and software updates. Led headlights have to be replaced by a dealer at 500 for bulb with labor.

Seat is torture!

Why would they make a seat like this? I'm 5'10" and the seat length is too short-it digs into my mid-thighs. I've owned over 10 cars and never had this problem! No matter how I adjust it, it is extremely uncomfortable. I'm devastated. I owned a Jeep before-why would I think I had to worry that the seat was uncomfortable when they have been making them for decades? I am livid. I can't travel or go on any trips.

Best car I've owned in many, many years!

I love my new (used) Jeep Cherokee! It's been many, many years since I've owned a car this new & I couldn't be more excited! Being a single mom, having a reliable car is very important to me.

dissatisfied customer

Purchased it brand new in Sept 2015 , one year into it ( 22k miles) developments a shifting problem Made a clunking sound when it shifted from 4th to 5th plus lower gears were a bit sluggish. Had it in the shop 4 times , the last time a Jeep Tech looked at it, claimed he could not find anything wrong, however the noise happened about 10 times since he looked at it. There is numerous reviews on the internet about other people having the same problem. The 9 speed tranny is junk, had to trade it in and take a big hit Hate the car

Awful buy, constantly in the shop

This was the worse buy ever! I love the look of the vehicle but it drives extremely rough and accelerates on its own. I have now only 15000 miles on it and it feels like it need a new transmission after it was already just replaced in October with only 11000 miles on it. I've been sold a lemon! Do not buy this car!

Terrified of my car

I have had my car now for 2 years and it has just shut off on me more than 6 times while driving including in he interstate. Definetly scary situation and terrified to get back in the car meanwhile they keep "fixing" it and the Jeep is not really giving my options. A customer's safety should always come first so mad and upset about the whole situation.

Drive this Jeep Cherokee, compare to other SUVs!

I have always been a Toyota buyer, other than once having a Jeep Grand Cherokee 10 plus years ago that I loved. Had the used car lot not had this alongside a RAV4 and Highlander, I would not have looked. LOVED THE JEEP, its the ride, the appointments, (I have a lot of them) and everything is wrapped into a VERY SMOOTH RIDE, SPORTY FUN to DRIVE, and 28 combined MPG with the extra good Jeep 4 wheel drive. Haven't used it off road or in big storms due to our mild winter in Iowa this year, but I'm feeling great about having it in a 28 MPG vehicle average! Great pick up compared to the Highlander I traded! Of course the Jeep may not be as reliable as a Highlanger or Rav4, or hold its value as well, but the purchase price was FANTASTIC for all I got, 25,000 miles on it and great new tires, the sound of radio very good also! But mostly its just the way it "feels" on the road, great pick up, and great manuevering on curves and fun to drive.

Love our Jeep Cherokee!

We bought our 2015 Cherokee Latitude 4X4 V6 used with 9k miles on it in Feb 2016. My wife and I test drove Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, and then fell in love with the Cherokee after our first test drive. 2 hours later we drove it home and have never regretted it! This car was so much cheaply priced than the others but had so many more features than all the others. None of the others even offered anything but 4 cylinder engines and were not nearly as quiet, or tech advanced as was the Jeep. And both the CRV and RAV4 were AWD only - not true 4X4 like our Jeep. We have taken several long road trips to family homes in Calif, and driven many a dirt road for fishing/camping trips, and now in the midst of our 2nd winter of driving - and never a single problem! Our daughters friends call the Jeep "Robo-Car" and beg to ride in it as often as possible. This is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned and we love it!
