Bad buy
I owned a jeep for 13 years and loved it. i recently sold it and wanted to get a new one, more up to date. bought it and with in 3 months its been in the shop well over 10 times because of the check engine light. they did everything they could as far as replaceing the entire computer system in the car, and it still turns on. definatly more trouble then it was worht.

THE WORST Vehicle I have ever owned
I bought my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2 years ago with 27,000 miles, and I never went over two months without something happening. First it was the check engine light, and when I took it to the dealership, they tell me that nothing is wrong. Then my tire gauge light stayed on, took it to the dealership, nothing they say was wrong. Then, it would constantly cut off on me, but you are right, they couldn't find anything wrong. To say the least, my padding on the gear shift got off track and broke making it very difficult to shift gears, and the dealership wanted too much money to fix it. As for the interior, I HATED the seat fabric. No matter what you do, even with Stain Guard, the seats always look stained, especially if rain blows in on them. Or, if you spill water. Also, I am short, so in order to drive, I had to pull the seat all the way up, well, that caused me to take out my knee every time I got in the darn truck. Too uncomfortable and loud. Will NEVER buy a Jeep again. I traded this sucker in yesterday with all of it's woes in for a Toyota Sequoia. I love it!

Like driving a luxury car
This vehicle is super comfortable to drive. I pulled a 28ft travel trailer with the Jeep and had abolutely no problems.

Just Okay
Just okay is probably the right words. I also have a GMC Envoy that I love. I personally don't lilke the seating in the front or back, I am not a fan of the fabric, the front a/c and heat registers don't cover enough. I really don't like the fact that I can't turn on or off the 4X4. Overall, I would not get it again and would not recommend to anyone.

Great overall package!!!
I've owned several Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge products, etc. and this one definately delivers. Drove 44k miles in 1 year before replacing it and had only slight issues. Powersteering pump and EGR valve went out right as I was trading, but was easily remedied. The HEMI had plenty of power, and the styling was great, especially w/ the addition of some minor Mopar Accessories. Fuel economy was a bit better w/ the cancelling cylinders for sure. The 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee I owned was a 4x4 Limited.

fantastic car
Great acceleration with good handling on winding roads and its trail rated. Nice interior with blue tooth capability, dual heated and power seats with excellent navigation. All around a great SUV beater than my wife's 06 Chevy Trailblazer.

this is our 13 chrysler product and i swaer i will never have anothe one. I would walk first!! 19,000 miles tranny went local dealer had the jeep for 6 weeks redoing the tranny when we got it back it howls between 40 and 50 miles an hour and it is so bad you have to turnthe radio up then with 27,000 miles transfer case cracked for no reason and they also had to replace the shafts because they where burnt so bad. In between all this the heater motor quite the windows some times work and sometimes dont. I was going to sell it at an auction but found out I would be lucky to get $13,000.00 for 2005 jeep laredo with 29,000 miles not bad when you look at what we paid for it $31,000.00 and owned it for 20 months STAY AWAY FROM ANY CHRYSLER PRODUCT!!!!!!

Good Purchase
I've had my '05 Grand Cherokee for almost two years now. Despite the knocks it gets for dependability, I've had only a couple of small problems. Overall I have been very please with it. My only advise might be to skip the V6. It has very little acceleration if you are merging into traffic or passing on the highway. The 4.7L V8 gets only 1 mpg less than the V6. Other than that, it;s a winner.

Beware!
My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee literally fell apart after 38,000 miles.I purchased this car used with 27,000 miles on it. I have had the car in the service department 7 times in 2 1/2 months. Yes, almost ever week the check engine light has come one. Most my problems have been around the fuel tank and hoses. Nearly $3,000 in replacement parts and labor in 2 months. My battery also died after two years and I have had the car not start on me 3 times (even after the battery was replaced). I believe mine is just a lemon and I doubt others have had as many problems as I have, but just beware! I am planning on trading this car in for a Toyota.

Transmission Problems
As I write this review, my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee is at the dealers service department. This is the eleventh time I've taken in with transmission problems. The transmission first would shake due to contamination of water mixed with the trans fluid because of a design flaw at 5,000 miles; took it in three times with this problem. Later I had to take it in to finally fix the flaw (manufacturer recall after the fact) at 8,000 miles. Then the shifter went out at 11,000 miles. The dealer missed diagnosised the problem which then took 5 trips to the dealer. Also, the dealer dripped water on the seats which left a stain. I took it back for them to carefully clean the cloth seats which stain easily. Now with only 20,000 miles, the transmission is steadily leaking trans fluid. The dealer is attempting to figure out the problem. We will see. I am thinking about trading it in for maybe a Toyota.
