Very reliable vehicle
I have owned multiple Jeep Grand Cherokees and can't complain on the reliability of the drivetrain. Every once in a while, something small will go wrong with the car like, window motors or a switch cause some issues, but overall, a very reliable vehicle.

My first and only car. Works great and it is the perfect size automobile. I bought it my junior year of high school and still own it.

Love the Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is the best vehicle I've ever owned. It's a rugged 4x4, but drives silky smooth. It features a luxury interior with a rugged exterior. Never had a serious maintenance issue. Strongly recommended for a great reliable SUV.

Great SUV
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee has now been owned for 1.5 years and has not missed a beat. At 96,000 miles has been dependable and well put together without any squeaks or rattles. Would certainly buy another of this model.

Amazingly disappointed
Bought this 2005 Jeep used at 59k miles from a large dealership. Had it for less than a week and the sunroof started leaking horribly. Took two times at the dealership to resolve the issue but was fixed. In less than 2 months we now have 61k miles on it and now the lifters in the Hemi are bad. This is totally backwards of what I have heard and seen on customer reviews about the 5.7 Hemi. Also the wheel sensors are going bad and showing up on the display. There is also a loud clicking sound coming from the steering column which is annoying. I'm assuming this is a bad year for Jeep and I will be getting rid of this vehicle as quick as possible.

Great Vehicle, Bad Engine?
Its hard to say anything bad about a vehicle that carried my family for the last 8 years. I would sell it to a family member, now that is has a new engine. At 74k miles the engine blew. It cost us 5500 to replace comparable to a probable 3500 to repair and they weren't sure that would fix the problem. Just one day it wouldn't move. We took very good care of it, and at 74k miles it was 7 years old, so we didn't drive it into the ground etc. I am sad to say this happened right after it was officially paid off and here we are again with payments. It didn't turn us off though, I am already looking at the new laredos :)

Great Vehicle
I have had this Cherokee for 2 weeks and love it so far. The engine is the 5.7 HEMI and the performance has been great. I tow a trailer and you don't even know it is back there. My gas mileage has been very good, 21.5 MPG for mainly highway use and 15.2 MPG pulling the trailer. My 2002 GMC Envoy would only average 15 MPG highway and 11 MPG pulling a trailer, I am looking forward to using the 4WD this winter. It should be a huge improvement over my Hyundai Sonata with Kumho tires.
