Do Not Buy the Ecodiesel Grand Cherokee.

Do not buy the ecodiesel version of the Grand Cherokee of any year. First, the engine ate a rod bearing at 40k miles requiring the entire engine to be replaced which took over a month in the shop. Then repeated exhaust leaks had to be chased down. Second, the DEF system throws error codes at least once a month stating it will make the vehicle inoperable in 200 miles unless serviced. Third, the repeated recall after recall relating to several exhaust issues. Fourth, the Summit version, which I bought, has leather on the dash so poorly glued that the whole thing has started delaminating. Yet for that there's no recall or TSB for this obvious flaw and Jeep refused to fix it. Fifth, the diesel oil, filter and DEF refill every 10k costs over $300 a pop. Sixth, the fuel filters, there are 2, require replacing every 15k miles at a cost of around $170 each. Seventh, the wheel arch covers have come unglued and Jeep refuses to fix that either saying it's a wear item and body issue that an independent body shop must fix. Eighth, the glow plugs are known to go bad and be hard to remove without snapping them which will require the entire head to need replacing at a cost of around $4,000. Goodness, I could really go on. Just don't buy these hunks of junk.

Most reliable truck I have owned

This truck has what I need. I needed a 4x4 vehicle in order to not get stuck in the winter and this truck will definitely help.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Best Ever!

This vehicle by far is the top of line in the Jeep category. It is the first Jeep vehicle to come out with a diesel engine. It performs outstanding & has plenty of pep and gets good fuel mileage. It is towable if you own a motor home as I do, you can tow it with all wheels on the ground. You can not Tow It On A Tow Dolly. I would recommend this vehicle to everyone who wants to off road or highway driving.

I will buy it again after 300k miles

Technology in this vehicle is awesome. I got the Summit edition with Uconnect package. Through the APP I can forward addresses to the Jeep GPS for showing clients homes to sell. Saves me time!

Still in great shape after 99k miles

Surpising amount of comfort, style and performance in this package. Haven't had any issues yet with the jeep. Still very tight ride with few if any squeaks.

Much better than expected!

Great build, Very comfortable, Luxirous interior, good performance, great 4 wheel drive system. Feels like a much more expensive vehicle. Uconnect blue tooth interface works great.
