Jeeps

Meets all my needs and is very comfortable. It is large enough to transport things that are too big for a trunk. Can tranports 5 people very comfortable. I like the inside and out appearance. The lights and sound system are great. It has a solid ride on the road and appears to be very safe. Hopefully I will have this Jeep for a long time.

Save yourself! Don't buy a Grand Cherokee!

I LOVED this car for the first couple years but literally the month my warranty ran out, things started breaking. First a $350 fix for some fuse in the starter. I had to get it towed to the dealership to fix. Now today, it wouldn't accelerate properly or change gears properly (it'd be at 6th gear going 20 mph, then 4th and 5th gear when at a stop). It ended up being a $40 part for a oil pressure switch and $455 of labor!!!!!! The gas mileage sucks, and the maintenance costs are terrible. Just steer clear of these vehicles. I've had this car since Sept 2013 and it has 53k miles on it. I've kept up with all maintenance. The stock tires major sucked so replaced those at 30k miles.

I love the way it drives and looks! My Limited Grand Cherokee has many neat features that I love! It is just the right size!

Best in same level cars

I have teste drove almost all major mid to large size SUVs from price range 30K-40K. In between RX350, X5, ML350, Jeep Grand Charokee, Murano, MDX, RDX, Ford Edge, Enclave, I personal feel Nissan Murano made me disappointed the most(about average on everything, no highlight...). X5 is the most sporty vehicle, but it does not feel comfortable for 2nd row passengers and you can feel almost all the feedback from stones and rocks on the road. ML350 was the one I almost pick before I made my final decision, it drives great and interior looks ok (not as luxury as their Canadian and Asian models). Finally, I chose a 2014 JGC Overland is all because its high cost?performance ratio. Good interior design and easy to control everything from the dashboard, excellent exterior design and I love the HID beam lights. The car has all functions that you need for a great SUV and gas mileage is not too bad(19.2MPG with city drive after 1000miles). I know there are a lot people like the 5.7L HEMI engine, but honestly, I can not feel anything different between the 3.6L and 5.7L when you are under economy mode(which is the default setting). To me and my wife, 3.6L engine is good enough. If there is anything I want to complain about this vehicle, it is the weight of the car. As it is a really heavy car, the break seems not as sensitive as Japanese cars. Also, I want to say the Mercedes Benz ML350(or GLE if you have more money to get a later version) has the most smooth break and I love it. The reason why I did not choose the ML350 is just because the interior design (not luxury enough if you ever see their Asian models) and technology features not as advance as Grand Cherokee. As a young generation, I simply feel those technology features are important for me!

Overall great car so far.

So far it's been great. Had minor issue with initial pickup of car ( needs to get navigation/ display replaced ) which was missed in the dealers certified used car inspection.

Still waiting

I bought the Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel for its comfort and towing. Three months in I had to have a major repair. Thankfully I have an extended warranty, but I am concerned about reliability.
