Most problems with brand new car I've ever had
Its definitely a luxurious feel and ride but service from dealers is always sub par with poor attitude or care and the build quality as a final product is very poor for a 55k dollar car

From Day 1 had issues, Completely Unsafe
I have loved and wanted a Grand Cherokee for years. I waited until the reviews and seemingly the reliability got better. I wish that I could say that my experience was anything other than terrible. From the moment I bought it, the front turn signal was out. Seemed like a nothing issue, but should have been my red flag. 14mi on the car, and the turn signal is already out? The dealership I bought it from claimed they didn't have the bulb for it to replace, and suggested that I just take it to any dealership around me for a warranty replacement. I took it to 2 other dealerships, before I was informed that no one even attempted to look at the headlight apparatus (they would have had to remove a protective covering atop the engine) and that given the mileage, etc, that they would have to check all the electrical to double check it wasn't just the light; and would probably have to replace the whole headlight assembly, as that's how it works now. 3 dealerships did not even know that the whole headlight assembly was one unit, and there were no replacement bulbs. So, for the 1st week I owned the GC, it was spent in the shop being torn apart and checked for electrical issues, and having that assembly replaced. Then, about 3 weeks later, I was having "massive" issues with the navigations system. It seems that, contrary to every other navigation system on the market, there is no way to tell your GC to search for a destination by its business name. (i.e.- "find Caesers Palace Las Vegas." or "drive me to Chili's in Encino."). Also, there was no way to input these destinations on the fly. I was told to just use my phone to find the destination and then tell the navigation the address; or to find it on the app and send it through Send&Go. Though, the service tech at the dealership I kept taking my GC to, couldn't figure out why the destination wasn't working by name, not address. So, I do believe that this is supposed to be possible. Then, the straw that broke the camels back, was that at 2mo from the day I took delivery, the memory seats went out, as with the easy entry/exit; a week before, I'd noticed that the console and all screens stopped dimming when the headlights came on (so that you're not blinded by the 8.4" screen while driving at night), and the radio started changing station, presets or bands on its own at random intervals. (no, I was not touching any of the buttons on the steering wheel). I took the GC in for all of these issues, and then contacted Jeep/FCA and started voicing my concerns. With the growing electrical issues with this car, I felt that the next glitches were going to start being the Jeep Safety Group that was on the car; and that the glitch could and would very well be the automatic braking, as if the car thought that I was about to hit something. Not an issue I want to happen, should the glitch slam my car into a complete stop on the highway, with 18-wheelers running full speed behind me at 75mph. It took some time, and I did start to lawyer up, given how unsafe and hazardous I felt that the GC was. There was no way that I would ever get behind the week of the GC ever again. But, after the total disrespect and callous attitude I continually received form FCA (no contact for days, telling me that I had to pick up the car and drive it to see if I still felt unsafe in it, or if there were any issues still at hand) I can say, with assumed certainty, that I am far from alone in there being these kinds of safety and electrical issues with the Jeep line. I will never drive an FCA brand product ever again, rental cars included, after this experience. Nor will I allow my family to. It's just to risky.

I LOVE love love my Grand Cherokee
This car has everything I need and more. Roomy, smooth, with all the bells and ringers I always wanted. The style is very sleek and modern, the remote start makes me feel good that by the time I enter my car, the inside climate is perfect.

Decent when not having issues
Have owned 3 jeeps (all on lease) right in a row. My first Jeep had been a 2012 Laredo, followed by 2015 and 2018 Limiteds. I had only jumped up trim levels because of the optional leather. I have come to learn that the Jeep is one of the most brawny and good-looking midsize SUVs on the road. You see SO MANY because of this reason. On my 2018, I had optioned for 20" wheels and I love them. The wheels definitely make the vehicle look even better! I was disappointed that my specific car did not have the Lighting II package because I'm a big fan of the LED Headlights, but it was not a deal breaker for me, so I ended up with the Halogens. They are not awful, but they are kind of weak so take that into effect when you are purchasing. Unfortunately, in my first month of ownership I had been in a car accident. A woman ran a stop sign and we had T-Boned her, causing over $15k in damages to my car with less than 900 miles on it. It held up like a brute. Her car was totaled. I'm thankful for how quickly the airbags reacted and how safe it is, protecting me and my other passenger. The whole front end as well as the dash needed to be replaced from the airbags. I was back on the road in 3 weeks. The interior, like many others have said, is decent. The buttons are all hard plastic and the knobs turn okay. They are very sensitive, however, which is a little disconcerting when you are trying to find a radio station. The leather does crease quite easily when you go in and out every day, however it is comfortable. The 12-way adjustable seats make it easy to get a perfect space on a longer trip. The heated seats warm very fast and are helpful for rear passengers. I have had MANY issues with my media system. CarPlay consistently fails when I use it and have tried to get it addressed by the dealer. They update the system but it doesn't do anything to address this problem. This is annoying when you are trying to use navigation, listening to music, etc. Additionally, I have experienced issues with my power lift gate. If I push the button and walk to the drivers seat and open the door, it goes back up. The same thing happens when I start the car. It is not difficult to push the button to close it again, however it is a nitpick thing that needs to be worked out. I have had my whole gas tank replaced already at 7k miles. The dash had coded a fault for the 'Fuel level sensor' and of course had taken it into the dealer to get checked out. In the few days before my appointment, my fuel level on the dash would shuffle between 1/4 and full. They could not figure out the code for 3 days, and told me they had no idea. I had asked if the checked the fuel sensor... they said it was impossible it could fail, however proceeded to check it the following day. That was the problem, it had somehow flipped over in the gas tank. I have also had issues with the Keyless Go System to get into the car. I would push the lock and unlock buttons and it would perform the reverse action I wanted. I push the lock button and it would not lock. I had taken it to the dealer and again they said they could not find anything. Since, it has been spotty, not sure if it will come up again. Over the years of having cars, my family has had Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, BMW, etc. and the Jeep 100% can be competitive to any of them when optioned right. It definitely looks the best in its class and has a certain prowess that many other SUVs cannot match. I love the 4WD system, it handles incredibly in the winter snow, in fact I had taught a 16 year old skid control (while it was snowing) in an empty parking lot with the Jeep! This car is a great car to teach a new driver. Very easy to drive and easy to handle... Smooth. For any slight amount of off roading I have to do, the Jeep handles it with no problem. Although there are some flaws, I think it is a decent vehicle for the value and stands out, when its not getting worked on, of course !

Surprising performance from the eco diesel
I have only owned it for less than a month, so my impressions are still colored by my new owner mentality. I owned a 2002 JGC for 17 years prior to purchasing this one. So far, I can tell you that this car is much more sophisticated in all ways. The handling, breaking and acceleration are all excellent. The fuel mileage with the eco diesel is almost unexpectedly great! I have yet to tow with it, but will later this summer. I love the road feel and precise steering as well.
