Can't go wrong
I have owned my 04 Liberty Sport 3.7 V6 for about 3 months now and loving it. After owning an 01 Kia Sportage for 3 years it has been a change that needed to be done about 3 years ago. Kia's SUV'S do not even compare to these vehicles. These vehicle are meant to take what you throw at them. Tackling boulder, whipping around parking lots, or slamming into pot whole this vehicle can take it. Jeep has out done them selves this time making sure customers have a SUV that not only is useful but a joy to own. Styling is cute but still Jeep like. Feature inside the vehicle are user friendly and easy to get use to for most drivers, and the one touch moonroof that is a option for the cheaper sport model adds a touch of luxury to this rugged SUV. Seat are firm and supportive but short seat bottom take some time to get used to. Ride quality is good on most smooth surfaces, but on rough pavement things fill and sound harsh (it keeps you alert if anything). Driving this vehicle on the highway is a breeze, crosswind don't seem to faze the SUV. Handling is almost car like, being caught off guard while entering curves is not an issue. You can tell Chrysler picked up some good things from its buy in with Mercedes. Power is great from the quiet 3.7L but has to build from stand stills. The only complaint on this awesome SUV is the goofy automatic transmission. While only at lower highway speeds (50-60) the down shifting is annoying and sometimes scary. It feels that the vehicle is loosing power or taking a deep breath, but after that the engine jumps to life with plenty of power.

Was an awesome car to me
I just traded in my 2002 Liberty on a new Toyota FJ Cruiser. I love my new car more, but it IS new and did cost a whole lot more. I owned my Liberty for 7 years and would still have it today if I hadn't fallen in love with the FJ Cruiser. The Liberty was VERY reliable to me (the only problem was electrical problems early on which were covered by warranty). It had more get up and go than any of the other 25 vehicles I've owned in my life. Gas mileage wasn't so great at 16 - 18 mpg, but with all that spunk, it was worth it! Now that I own a different vehicle, I realize it wasn't the most comfortable ride. But then again, I spent a whole lot more on my new ride. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone with a lower budget for an SUV, great little car!

Great jeep, horrible dealer!
The only reason why I would not recomend this product to a friend is because how rude the car sales man is. Don't bother your time or monday dealing with these guys!

Great Fun Girl Car
I have owned two Jeep Libertys. I loved them both. In them I had the comfort of a car, but the fun-loving drive of a real Jeep. This is the perfect car for a girl who needs a tough-driving four-wheel drive without the rough ride of a real Jeep. Whoops, they are real Jeeps!

Yeah it's a Jeep
We own a 2004 Renegade. We bought it as a family vehicle and for recreational use. With its great saftey ratings and overall fun factor this has been a great vehicle. I am very confident while off roading to a camp site or just trail riding. My wife loves it in town because of its handling. We both love the look of this vehicle. With regular maintenance and a little tlc you will be very happy with your purchase. If you are concerned about gas milage you should not be looking into an suv or anything fourwheel drive. That being said and you are looking for a capable off road vehicle in stock form (compaired to other Suvs there is no competition) it is very reasonable for a 4300lbs V6 4x4 vehicle. Canada rocks and so does our Jeep we love it.

Love My Liberty
I love this jeep so much. I have bought 4 jeeps in 6 years. 1st (Grand Cherokee) went to my son, 2nd (Cherokee) to my son-in-law, 3rd (Cherokee) to a friend, this one is all mine. My Liberty 4 x 4 is so much fun to drive; it's like a bumper car, so quick, changes lanes easily, great visibility. So totally ready for city, freeway, highway driving. Roomy too, 2 car seats in second seat, room for another child in the middle (3 sets of seatbelts), still room for 2 strollers in the back. I love the way the back opens up too, door opens, window goes up automatically, and I have the jeep remote and starter. 4 wheel drive works well in winter, lots of crazy weather in Calgary! Lots of Jeep Libertys here, they look great, easy to maintain, full warranty, reliable. What more could you ask for?

I love it
The worst complaint I have about this Jeep is it's gas guzzling. But then again, I knew that going in. I've had experience driving it in 4wd in snow, plenty of rain, and across country, New York to LA. Found it to be very comfortable, even driving 11hr days, and handle well but ONLY if the factory tires are replaced. I don't understand the complaints about comfort, and I drove a conversion van before this which is like driving in a lazy-boy. Excellent value used, that's why I got it. I wouldn't skimp on maintenance though and get a good extended warranty. I've heard too many stories about high mileage problems especially with the transmission, although I haven't had any problems myself at this (77,000 mile) point. If it did better with gas, I'd be a total convert. My only other complaints are nit-picking ones, like I wish the back seats folded down flat and the glove box was bigger. All in all, I think it's the best value in it's class as a used purchase.

Not The Most Reliable Car I've Owned
At 40K, my Liberty had two burned valves, the remaining ten were pitted and had to be ground. One cylander head had to be replaced.Repairs were over $2,500. Most of this cost was covered by warrenty. Cost to me was $400. I purchased this Jeep when it had 19k miles and have taken very good care of it. No abusive treatment. This kind of damage should not have occrred at only 40k miles. I would not recommend this vehicle.

Jeeps: All they do is last forever
Not fancy, not a lot of extras, just a basic vehicle that runs with no maintenance. This is my third one. An '04 Sport, I paid $17,650 new with 0% financing. It has never been back to the dealership. At 92,000, it needs brakes, but otherwise it is doing just fine.

My favorite car I've owned
The vehicle is pretty trustworthy, decent gas mileage, an all around good vehicle. I get where I want with no problems. It is also a good vehicle if you want to bring along a few passengers. There is alot of hed and leg room for every one in the vehicle.
