Always wanted a Jeep

Our Jeep Renegade Sport is the basic model and ideal for us. The only drawback is the short sun visors to protect the eyes along the window. It may reach about half-way the door window even with the extended pull-out visor. The technology and electronics are modern and it seems it will last beyond its warranties.

Starting out on a bad foot.

The jeep already pops up mantainence required and it doesn't have 300 miles on it. The dealer has been very rude about taking care of the problem. They even asked me to take it to another dealer for maintenance. It pops up 4wd needs service or 4wd unavailable and I've not tried to use it yet. Hope it's not the start of bad things for the vehicle.

I love my Jeep Renegade!

I love my 2015 Jeep Renegade Latitude. I got the Omaha Orange Renegade Latitude with Bluetooth, Sirius XM, rearview backup camera.. It runs great; I haven't had any problems and I've got almost 1,000 miles on it already. I get compliments on my new Jeep from strangers! The only thing I miss is having a CD player -- but the Bluetooth makes up for that. Another thing -- my Jeep did NOT come with floor mats, so I would recommend purchasing Jeep floor mats off of Amazon. I got a great deal and the quality is comparable to WeatherTech floor liners. I purchased the "All Weather Slush Floor Mats" made my Mopar. Overall, I love my new Jeep Renegade! I would definitely recommend.

Best "Domestic" Cross-over.

I never owned a domestic vehicle and never thought I would either, until I saw the Renegade. I took a test ride and that's all it took for me. For reference, I owned 2 Honda, 1 Toyota, and 1 VW in the past 11 years and they were all brand new. I was looking for a AWD/4x4 vehicle for the nasty winter commute here in the Northeast and occasional camping trips. My shopping criteria was a short list: Good fuel mileage and some mild off-road capability. Only a handful of small SUV fit the bill. My choices were between Subaru XV Crosstrek and Jeep Renegade. I am not going to write much about the Subaru but all I am going to say is... under-powered and lack of details, compared to the Renegade. Interior- Unlike most domestic vehicles, there a lot of details in the interior design, such as illuminated cup holders and center console. No squeaky panels, no saggy seat cushions, no one-piece dash or one-piece door panel. Seats are as comfortable and supportive as my 2008 Passat. Forward visibility is great, similar to driving a Cube/ Soul. Road noise is minimal considering it as a SUV. The instrument panel with built-in LCD screen is very informative with intuitive lay out. I was able to get used to in within minutes of driving it. Infotainment system with touch screen is very intuitive and easy to navigate while driving. I love how the car can stream music from my phone via Bluetooth without touching my phone. Sound quality is also impressive considering it is just standard equipment on a "entry level" vehicle. Exterior- Paint quality is good. On-par with all my previous vehicles. Plenty of design details. I love the overall design of the vehicle. Engine- Relatively quiet for a "domestic" vehicle; it roars quite a bit under hard acceleration, in a good way. I know, it's an Italian Fiat Multiair engine! Plenty of power to pass other vehicles on the interstate. Transmission is probably the biggest let-down of the vehicle. There is a noticeable lag and hesitation in gear change under "spirited" acceleration, however, it's smooth enough and tolerable. Performance- Agile would be the best word to describe its performance. Steering is accurate and nicely weighed although lacks feedbacks of a sport sedan or luxury crossover. Body-roll under spirited driving is well controlled... especially considering it's a JEEP! I have not yet driven in snow yet. However, I drove it off the dealership lot in pouring rain. I got the chance to push it a little bit through some back roads in heavy rain. Not once I felt the traction control or ABS kicked in, and the vehicle didn't slide during sharp turns. Body panels did not make any rattling noise on rough road surfaces. Fuel economy- In the past 300 miles, I was able to achieve 27 miles average. I was getting 30mpg on the interstate around 65mph. I would expect gas mileage slightly improve as the engine breaks in. Not as good as the Subaru but the Renegade does have 40 extra HP and 400cc bigger engine. Overall- I am very impressed with how Jeep come out with such a great product. It's a perfect blend of ruggedness, performance, comfort, and style. Let's face it, we all want a Wrangler at some point in life but can't justify the fuel efficiency, comfort, or practicality for everyday commute. And Jeep finally gave us a perfect compromise. Trade-in value and reliability are the only 2 concerns I have at this point and only time will tell.

Fun Drive and 4WD

The reason why i chose a Jeep Renegade is because i live in the North and the Winters can be a little dicey when it comes to driving. So I wanted to find a vehicle that had 4WD capabilities with not the 4WD price and with the Renegade i found it. I also enjoy to go hunting, but live in town so the Jeep Renegade is tough enough to take out to a field and yet compact enough that it makes it easy to drive around town and to park. Although the gas mileage is great for a 4WD vehicle it is a little small, but nothing is perfect.

Great New Jeep

I have been an owner of a Wrangler and still own a Commander, but this vehicle is my favorite for the Urban jungle. It handles better than most jeeps with good acceleration and interior comfort. The inside is very quite when driving even and highway speeds and you just don't hear the engine. Fully capable off road as a Jeep should be, this small Jeep will tackle the elements better than others in the same class and without burning big dollars to those it is ranked with. The interior controls are all in the right place easy to access and the entertainment systems are touch screen and voice controlled on my Latitude model, which I recommend if you are not looking for the off road beast. Storage great, seats comfortable value for what you get with upgrades is on point. Very easy to maneuver and park and really no parts or features that scream cheapo. All my Jeeps have done 100k+ and I expect the same from this vehicle- they are work horses and this one is more refined than most- a great Jeep to own.

Very satisfied I

I love how comfortable the seats are. The mirrors seem awfully big. They seem to block my view. I had to put my seat at the highest level to see over it so I could see the cars on my left at the stop signs. The extra large mirrors are great for seeing out the sides when highway driving. I am enjoying sitting up high. The ride is great. I also feel spoiled listening to the Serius Radio through the wonderful speakers. What a great ride!
