MY FIRST JEEP
I never owned one and so far the only thing I do not like is the cruise control does not hold the speed it is set to. I set it to do 40 and it will do 35-45... GOT TO FIX THAT

A little too POOFY on the inside
The whole car is great, I have the My Sky sunroofs and they work fine, except that if you REMOVE the front panel instead of sliding it back, you don't get the air deflector to come up and it's noisier than the sliding version. I get over 30 MPG, having the 1.4 Multi-air Turbo engine and the six speed. I know the Renegade is basically a tall small CAR, but at least for the market it's advertised to, the interior should be at least designed and outfitted to be a little tougher. With the dark cloth interior, black carpet, and black plastic panels, everything gets dirty more quickly. They should have gone to more utilitarian surfaces that don't show light dirt and replace some of the cloth surfaces with vinyl or plastic. It's not a big deal, but it didn't take very long for me to dirty the inside of the car. Would have preferred something like the Honda Element's rubber/plastic flooring.

Love my Jeep!
Bought my Jeep Renegade Latitude back in Oct., 2015. Very fun to drive! Handles great - great gas mileage. Get lots of comments and likes from people. Only one small negative - the fan blows

Tougher than nails
We bought our Renegade Trailhawk June 2015, we have put about 6,000 miles on it and it's been most impressive. We had an incident in a snowy/icy highway where we hit the median extremely hard, we thought the car would be totally busted on the driver side, once safe to stop and check, NOT A SCRATCH!, we did get a rear wheel misaligned but that was it. When got lifted and we looked under the vehicle, it was most impressive, tough little beast. There is nothing we would change on our Renegade. It has a small gas tank, but mileage is good, we get about 23mpg on 70/30 city/highway mix. We used the snow mode and you can feel makes a difference in traction. My bro' has two top notch wranglers and he got us infected with Jeep virus, Renegade is great option for the not-maniacal off-roader but appreciate the Jeep badge. We are looking forward to muddy trails this summer!...

Review after 1 month of ownership
I have only owned this for month so far but I really like it. I have the Latitude 4x4 with the 6-speed manual. The 1.4 turbo engine has enough power to get out of it's own way so if you were worried about that, it's a non issue. I did cross shop this with a Fiat 500X Trekking that had the 2.4 liter 9 speed automatic and prefer the Jeep with the 6-speed manual by far. I see there are some people complaining about their gas mileage, I'm currently getting 31.8 MPG overall. I have a daily commute of about 35 miles round trip split about 50/50 city and highway. Mine also came with the heavy duty rubber floor mats, I've read that some people did not get them with their purchase so not sure why they didn't and I did. I also read a few reviews that were not happy with the performance of the 4x4. I've not had any issue and it's worked great, though the most snow we've had at one time in the past month has been 7 inches. I had no problem getting to and from work as it handled that snow with no problem. I'm at tall guy (6' 4") and I do not have any issues with leg or head room. There seems to be enough room in the hatch area for grocery shopping as well. The only "gripe" I have so far is the arm rest on the door. It seems to be down too far for me, so I tend to rest my arm on the top of the door panel. The problem with that is that it's hard plastic so it's kind of uncomfortable. But like I pointed out, I'm a big guy and this probably wouldn't affect the "normal" person. So to sum it up, very happy with the little Jeep so far. It's a very fun vehicle to drive around. Gas mileage has been great. The base engine and transmission (1.4 turbo/6-speed manual) have been great. The 4x4 has worked flawlessly for me. There is an unexpected amount of room in the vehicle which you'd never know from looking at it.

V Poor Gas Mileage 2016 Jeep Renegade
Purchased 2016 Jeep Renegade since November 2015. Only driven to and from work 10-12 miles 5 days a week and run errands, to only experience very poor gas mileage during the last 2 months. Fill Up on 1/2 tank and 2-4 day later car is back to half full. Very unhappy and looking to trade this car in. Appears the dealer mechanic thinks I'm over exaggerating but not true I have the receipts to and pictures to prove the distance and time of travel. Very displeased with performance of this vehicle. If anyone else has experienced this issue please post your concerns. Serviced within the last month.

renengade
this car is pathetic off road. In the 2016 blizzard of dc it was useless. I had a Nissan Xterra before this car, and it rocked off road and in the deep snow. The Renegade just gets stuck. I had to use the "mud" setting just to get through the most simple amount of snow. Great mileage, but useless in the snow and off road!!!

somewhat disappointed
At dealership salesman showed us one jeep and insisted we buy it. We told him over, and over, and over that was not what we wanted. We finally asked about a specific vin# and he told us it had been sold, so we had to buy the 1st one. Finally he checked with office and told us it had only been moved from "it's spot" . By that time we wanted to go home, it was 9:30pm, dark, and we had a 50 mile drive home. (I'm 74 and husband is 80). He kept telling us his boss wouldn't like 8t if he let us go home and come back next day. Boss would fire him 8f he didn't sell it then. We drove it around block in dark, he did drive it I to prep room so we could see it better, and completed paperwork. Jeep had floor mats in plastic in back, can of slime, and we were promised seatcovers. When we picked it up 2 days later, no seatcovers, no floor mats, ONE key.

Love it!
I got the Trailhawk version of the Renegade in August - now have 11,000 miles on it and am still loving it! I wanted a smaller SUV that had actual 4x4 not just AWD. It gets 27 mpg on 2 lane country roads which I love. Have taken it on several trips - very comfortable and a hoot to drive. Would highly recommend this vehicle for anyone looking for a nice SUV with great gas mileage and 4x4.
