Huge Upgrade from pre-2012!
I owned a 2008 Sahara before this one, and can't begin to say how much better this is! Obvious upgrades: Engine - 80 more hp with better mpg! Ride - smoother and quieter than before. Inside touches are nice, still Jeep rugged, yet very functional. Mostly the same from before besides that, legendary Jeep!

Greatest Vehicle Ever Created
First time Wrangler owner. I have held off for the new engine and finally got one of the first ones that appeared in our area the day the arrived on 9/1/11. I got a hard top unlimited sport but this one was listed as a 100th anniversary edition??? I can't find it anywhere online but it has upgraded wheels and tired (like those of the Sahara, power locks/windows, automatic, and a few other things. First off, the hard top was the right choice. It's a quieter ride and helps regulate the temperature. The removable front panels are a breeze to remove and store in the trunk. It came with a padded carrier so they don't slide around the trunk (plenty of space). The seats are actually pretty comfortable and I have a bad back. The engine performance blows the previous one away. I get around 18 in the city (very stop and go with long lights and traffic) and around 22 on the hwy. As for power and pickup, I was shocked. I can get up and go. Excellent braking capability. I really do feel safe. The redesigned interior makes you feel like you are in a car. The exposed metal is mostly hidden unlike older models. My good friend has a 2010 Sahara and really likes the design. Its a very quiet and smooth ride. It does not "ride like a Jeep". I absolutely love it. Now the important info.- They are all 4x4 and can basically climb and get through anything you throw at it. It's a beast. I was shocked to find the faster you go on a rough rough the ride smooths out and you have complete control. I'm talking 50 mph on a pothole filled, winding, mountain back road. Not to mention the two foot deep mud pit and the flooded area where water actually went over the hood. NO PROBLEM! It was like it wasn't even there! And that's coming from someone who has NEVER driven off road and never really thought I'd love the experience like I did. Now I drive down every dirt road I see. Hands down this is the greatest vehicle ever created. You'd be crazy not to buy one if you ever have the slightest interest in owning one.

First Jeep - But Not My Last
I've wanted a Jeep Wrangler for years, and finally after exhaustive research I bought a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara around Thanksgiving. To put it blountly.....I love this vehicle. The ride with the hard top is similar to an SUV. With the soft top, local driving is fine, but interstate is noisy. The leather seats are very comfortable on long trips, and the controls are easy to manage...especially with the steering wheel controls. I'm getting around 19.5 mpg highway, which is a little better than I expected, and 18 mpg overall. The power was surprising....must be the new engine (though I never drove the old one). If you buy one, go ahead and get the 730N media center.....it's worth it. I'm hooked on Jeep now....best purchase I've made in a long while.

New 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara
I just bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in Dozer Yellow and I love it. It is everything I wanted and expected out of a Jeep product. My family has owned Jeep products before but never a Wrangler. My Jeep is what you would expect from a mid-size, off-road capable SUV. Its ride on road is a little stif but what do you expect from a 4x4. I havent had it on any trails yet but I've taken down by the river and even into it without any troubles in 4 wheel drive. I've had water splashing onto the hood and not even a burp in engine performance. Its a six speed manual tranny and performs as expected. It has plenty of torque and power in the lower four gears, and 5th and 6th let you maximize fuel economy. On mountainous interstate I average 21-22 mpg, while around town even short trips i get 18.5 - 19.5mpg. The unlimited has a spacious back seat that I can sit in comfortably even behind the driver's seat and I'm almost 6'4". Fold down the back seat and you've got hella room back there. The Freedom top 3-piece is awesome. Its flexible usage and ease of use is great. The t-top section is easy to remove and install and offers great open air freedom with a moments notice. The rear section is easy to manuver with a friend. Interior is easy to operate and asthetically pleasing. The controls are simple to use and convieniently located. The hands free phone is a must have option. Sat radio is nice but with bluetooth audio it isn't necessary. The seats are comfortable and hold you tight when at odd angles. Nothing I can think of yet to improve on. I hope this helps you decide that a Jeep is just what you need.

Nice ride
I have had this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport with a manual transmission since the beginning of August (about two months). I have wanted a Jeep for a long time and it has finally worked for the vehicle that I need. I have had it off-road, and used it for a daily driver. I can tell you that it has truely exceeded my expectations and enjoy driving it very much. It it extremely capably off road, but is still a great everyday vehicle on the road. It has a bit of a "jiggly" ride, but that is just fine with me. The Pentastar motor has more than enough power for on road passing and such and I have been getting 21-22 MPG in the city and 22-23MPG on the highway which is far better than what I expected. I have had the opportunity to drive it in nasty weather conditions, and it inspires confidence. I am looking forward to the times when it snows during the coming winter!
