Best car on gas and reliable

Had no intention of buying a Hybrid but the Niro doesn't need the battery taken out to charge it . Just driving charges the battery .

First hybrid

I am very happy with the handling and steering. It has a very smooth ride. There are a lot of standard safety features. It is great on gas mileage. We got the base model which is fine for us. If you want more features they are available. We have only had the car for 2 weeks so I can't comment on reliability, but their ratings are very good.

Less trips to gas station

I drive 100 miles a day for 5 days a week. My Niro does it on a full tank of gas $15. My old car took 2 fill-ups of $30-35 each fill. I save on the gas and i didn't have to give up style.

Exceeds all expectations!

From the moment I test drove it to owning it now for over a month, this incredible crossover hybrid doesn't cease to impress me at every turn. The car is beautiful inside and out, it feels smooth as a feather to drive, safe and reliable to a fault. It has all the advantages of an SUV,without the exterior bulk for parking, great horse power and it consumes less than a Prius!! Add standard features that no other brand would dream of including such as back-up camera, Apple CarPlay, etc and loving this car is absolute common sense. Seriously. 50 mpg!! Why this car is not everybody's choice, I still can't fathom. And there was a national offer for a $219 monthly lease. Absolutely delighted.

6 months and 18 test drives, enough said, LOL

After 6 months and 18 test drives of a variety of vehicles, 7 of which were hybrid, the conclusion is the 2017 Kia Niro Touring. The only two features this vehicle does not have which I did want are; motorized lift gate and remote start. Other than that, unless you want to spend 50k to 80k for a vehicle, the Niro wins out over even a variety of manufacturers that are considered high end. Excellent 600+ watt Harman Kardon Sound system, Amazing fuel economy high 40s to mid 50s regularly. Has sport mode which changes the feel of steering, acceleration, braking etc, and it is a real sport mode, Ive blown several vehicles off the line and more, and seen many people completely surprised! Great colors to choose from, It took me 1hr 30min to choose between the colors: Metal stream, Rich Espresso, and Deep Cerulean Blue, the sun hit the Deep Cerulean Blue in a special way bringing out the uniqueness of the color, and the choice was made. This was my first new car purchase and Iam greatly thankful I was patient enough to be blessed to get the right vehicle. Definitely at least do yourself the favor and test drive this vehicle, specifically the Touring model.

This car is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this car. It is the most fun to drive car I have ever owned. The gas mileage is phenomenal! The car is incredibly roomy inside! So much space for a crossover. My husband even loves to drive it. It is a little pricy if you want all the bells and whistles but think about how much money you will save in paying for gas!! You will love this car if you are interested in purchasing it! I have never owned a Kia but I will definitely purchase another Kia when I am ready!!!!

Love this car

Smooth drive, this is an eco car 52 miles per gallon. It amazes me how quite it is. It is small but still has the space to hold all the things I need.

Best vehicle I've ever owned!

Enough leg room, both front and rear for adults, I did test it myself and I'm 5'8". Comfortable enough for long drives, lots of ways to charge your electronics with the wireless phone charger, 2 USB ports, 2 12 volt car charger plugs and a house type plug in the back passenger area. Fun to drive. Easy to get in and out. Makes me feel very safe! I have the touring model and get an average of 50 MPG! That's Hwy and city combined. I got the tech package as well, so all the bells and whistles. Totally worth it! I love my Niro! Best car I've ever owned, seriously.

A great car and excellent price point

This car is GREAT! The miles/gallon we are getting in New Hampshire is averaging 52 mpg. This is amazing! Instead of filling up the car 2-3 times a week it is now one time every two weeks!

New to Kia but happy with purchase

I enjoy driving this car (a Touring model), though I found the amenities between the levels (ie the Touring vs the next level down) quite significant. I think that KIA has pretty good value for the amount of car bought.
