2012 Kia Optima Hybrid consumer reviews

Best car I have ever owned. Great gas mileage which is very great with gas prices nowadays. It also looks very nice. Would strongly recommend!!!

Looking for stylish, loaded with options, reliable low cost transportation, the Kia Optima Hybrid scores high on all points. Great warranty and low maintenance costs. My car has more accessible storage space and roomier rear seating than the ACCURA TLC Crossover. It tracks and holds the road at 100 mph like a train on the track, no annoying loud engine or wind resistance noise. It has become my vehicle of choice for road trips, the Cadillac stays home. It burns regular gas and gets 500 miles at 60 MPH per tank of gas. My only regret is that KIA has lowered the horsepower on the newer Optima Hybrids. I wish they would reconsider increasing the horsepower, it looks sporty, it should have the pep of my 2012 or higher.

As said I like this car but the size of trunk is kind of small. However the size for back seat is pretty spacious and cozy.

This car only last 165000 mi before having to have the transmission replaced. Then I had to have the work completed by the dealership because of Kia proprietary software and parts. This cost about $1000 more that if I could have taken it to a transmission shop. Same goes for the codes when the check engine light comes on. Have to take it to the dealership. You can't even get a battery anyplace else besides the dealership. Seats are uncomfortable if you drive for long periods of time. The doors don't stay open if you have to park on any kind of an incline.

This car offers u everything all the features bmw and Lexus has plus the comfort and milage is awesome gives me 550miles in 14galons would highly Recommend this car

I used to love my Kia, I bought it brand new from the Dealer. I changed the oil at 4000 miles exact, I did not go to the 7500 kia recommends, or the 5000 that the dealer recommends. I was extremely disappointed when my engine spun a rod. I could not believe it when I heard 6500 dollars to get it fixed when it was only worth 4000 dollars max. It died at 112000 miles, 12000 past its warranty, Kia would not work with me or compensate me in any way. Very disappointed!!! Never buying a Kia again :(

Fuel economy, reliability, total cost of ownership. Very pleased at this point of ownership! Perfect car for current needs!

Some lick noise from the power sterling made it uncomfortable...after 30k the noise starts to lock. And dealer not recommended to fit it...Didn't hold the value much but overall fuel efficiency 500+ miles per tank

This is a great car, not only in looks but performance. It's definitely one of the best looking hybrids on the road right now. It's also great because I use it for commuting to and from work which is about an hour each way; I consistently get anywhere from 35-40 miles per gallon! Overall very good and reliable car, highly recommend.
