2012 Kia Sorento consumer reviews

We like the car for everything but the gas mileage. We have the EX 4 cylinder GDI, but with 1600 miles on it, we have never got over 22 mpg. That is a big disappointment when it advertised 32 on the highway. We would feel good if we got 29 or 30. Also had the side steps on the model we had and had them removed. They were a hinderance of getting in and out of the car. My husband is 6 foot and he had the same problems that I had before we removed them.

Nice to Drive smooth ride good gas mileage not great but ok everything at your reach love the feel of the Brakes and the steering nice to just drive Have just the base model but love it ,if you can love a car

I've had the 2012 Sorento for a month and love it! Traded my Honda 09 CRV after being a Honda driver for twenty years.So many standard options, warranty is awesome, gas mileage is good, more comfortable than the CRV, and a better price. Check it out. Kia has done it right.

I recently purchased a 2012 Sorento SX AWD after 15 years of driving GM vehicles. I paid $37K for my fully loaded SX and it compares with other crossover SUV's that cost $10-$15K more. I have the same bells and whistles that are found in pricier vehicles. Heated and air conditioned driver seat, heated steering wheel, dual sunroofs, nav system, power right front passenger seat, backup camera just to name a few. I'm sure the LX and EX are fine, but the SX is worth the extra dinero.

THIS CAR IS GREAT EXCEPT FOR HIGHWAY GAS MILEAGE! I BOUGHT THIS KIA EX NEW. IT HAS THE GDI ENGINE. I HAVE CALCULATED THE HIGHWAY MILES SEVERAL TIMES AND THE MILEAGE HAS RANGED FROM 22MPG TO 26MPG. THESE WERE ALL HIGHWAY MILES AT NOT OVER 65 MILES PER HOUR. I NOW HAVE OVER 3000 MILES ON THIS CAR AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE GAS MILEAGE.

I bought my Sorento in July 2011 and love it so far. Love the bluetooth iphone music connection and handsfree phone calls (standard). Seats are very comfortable, styling is great. I bought the basic model with convenience package and love it. Sold a diesel 4 door sedan due to high maintenance cost (and frequent need for it) and I am satisfied giving up 44 mpg for 25-27 mpg. Driving 75-80 mph I get about 24-25 mpg, at 60-65 I get 27 mpg. I have a little over 7,000 miles on it so far and my kids praise the room they have in the back seat. I have a teenager who sits in the third row (5' tall) and says it's pretty comfortable back there too.

I changed car brands after 38 years. I've owned my KIA Sorento EX AWD for two months. I find it to be a very comfortable and fuel efficient vehicle. I've received numerous compliments about its style, interior, and high-tech features [backup camera, UVO radio, bluetooth, Jukebox, iPod & USB connectivity, rear parking assist, auto-dimming homelink mirror, etc.] One weakness is a lack of bass from the stereo. I found that using music from my USB or CDs where I've increased bass on a computer program - it's great. So radio needs a software upgrade to adjust bass output.

Great car, plenty of interior room - new engine configuration promises better milage. Great warrantee and dealership, friendly personal service

Have owned it for 2 months now and put 6,100 miles on it. Used daily for business and pleasure. Great value and room for the money. Accelerates fine and rides firmly which is good. Very quiet and no mechanical issues. Getting 26-27 combines and 31-32 on the highway. However, if you use the cruise control, your mileage will suffer. Strange. We really like it and glad we bought it.

This our second kia the first was a 2006,Sorento,loved it, no issues it was great! Purchased a 2012- the love story continues on!-Great Product- I would recommend this car to any-one. Lots of room ,drives great-looks sharp- Over-all very happy with this one too.
