2012 Kia Sorento consumer reviews

My Sorento has been mechanically reliable and served every role I needed. I knew when purchasing that it was a partial-notch below Honda/Toyota/Subaru, but I paid markedly less. It is roomier and has more gusto than the small SUVs (RAV4, CRV) but not as much room or as solid of a ride as a Pilot or a Highlander. If you know that going in, you'll be happy with it. My one ding would be quality control. A seatback and a headrest have both come apart, and I had to replace the whole radio/bluetooth/back up camera unit, which was expensive. That said, it is 5 years old, and their reputation is constantly improving.

this car had no problems and ever thing you wanted, all the out lets for everyone in front and rear, room for our dogs and plenty of leg room in the back.

Excellent vehicle, dependable, good on gas, lots of room. No complaints! Smooth ride, no mechanical issues. I've owned this vehicle for almost 5 years. One of the best vehicles I've ever owned.

Drives very well minimum amount of problems for having 200,000 miles on it, sturdy car with great design

This car is great! For a 2012, it is extremely up-to-date. Aux cord, USB port, Bluetooth capability, satellite radio, comfortable, easy to drive. Love, love, love it!

Looks good , dependable, good on gas. Was a good price when bought. I would buy a second Kia for my granddaughter in a few years.

Comfortable, Reliable, Great MPG city and highway, Leg room, good cabin height, good rear storage, stylish, Great with kids - nothing stained the upholstery! I had been a lifelong Honda and Toyota owner - Made the switch initially based on comfort, options, style. Then interviewing every Sorento owner I could find. Always great feedback. Bought and never looked back!

My experience has been I get a very well equipped car for my money with Kia. The value at acquisition is there. However, the quality is a little lacking. Drive train (6 cyl) if fantastic. Plenty of power. Issues are interior fit. Plastic piece on door side of driver seat came off. The fabric headliner came off. The covers on the columns on the left and right sides of the windshields came off. Now my navigations system is not working along with my CD player. Many of these items were fixed under warranty or at a reasonable cost. But the nav system has yet to be worked on! Summary great value, great power/drivetrain, interior quality needs work. I just bought a 2017 Kia Forte again for great value.

This is an awesome car!!! I'm a mother of twins & a teacher so I was looking for something to haul the kids & all of our school stuff in. The Sorento is perfect & so reliable. I highly recommend it!!!

Comfort, style, space, fuel efficiency, functionality - it has everything we want and more! The heated seats will be put to great use in our frigid winters!
