So close

I own the Soul + and love it. Its a great car. The media versatility is unbelievable, and the audio upgrade is worth the money. I thought the speaker lights were a little goof at first, but now love them. The back seating area is spacious, and it has decent storage space with the back seats down. The seats are relative durable and easy to clean. I recently took a trip to Panama City and got sand in the back. I ran a vacuum over them and they look fine. Don't be fooled by other reviews. The car has some pep, but not as much as say, a Honda Fit. Put simply, this car is fun to drive. The handling feels fantastic, even without the sport suspension on the Sport model. And, lets not forget, this car is STYLISH. I am absolutely in love with the exterior, and get complements all the time. The interior is nice with a red panel display, but the dashboard and other components feel a bit plastic-y for my taste. Also, you could almost fit another person in the glove compartment. Its BIG. But, this is not the holy grail. The secret cargo space underneath the trunk area is cool, but not worth sacrificing cargo floor height. By, the way, the cargo floor is HIGH. Also I am in no way a fan of the felt covering on the back seats and trunk floor. This is a no no. It is easy to scar and therefore sacrifices durability which I greatly dislike. Also, as stated before, the dashboard feels slightly flimsy, but nothing to really be concerned about. Also, the car looks rugged, but is not. I would have loved to have seen a 4WD option, but there is none. MPG is also not a big strong point. I've been averaging about 22 in the city and 27 highway. Thats ok for me because I don't drive that often, I have my bike for that. But I'm sure others may have some issues. In all, its a great car and well worth the inexpensive pricetag. 10 year/ 100,000 mile powertrain warranty is also comforting.

This car has touched my soul !!)

I bought my Kia Soul three weeks ago and lovin' it. Have almost 3000kms on it, so it is broke in. Go more places now as it is a nice driving car and has lots of space for everyone/everything. Sound system is good and it is nice to have bluetooth. Great on gas, handles well. Get lots of looks, it makes you feel younger too! Thanks KIA

So far

I bought a 2010 KIA Soul base model on April 4 and I'm very satisfied with it. I've put 3,000 miles on it so far and am averaging about 33mpg highway, 28mpg city. The car is comfortable for short trips, but needs firmer seats for long trips. The standard transmission shifter feels like it is mounted in mush and it needs to be geared higher for high speed interstate highway driving. There is plenty of room for cargo and passengers for such a small auto. The ride is okay, the performance adequate, brake and clutch feel are good, and it seems to handle quite well. The interior is layed out with all controls and gauges well layed out, but it needs an oil pressure and ammeter or volt meter also. The exterior styling is too busy for my taste. I was shopping for a 2005/6 Scion xB, but couldn't find a good one locally, so the 2010 Soul at only $1,000.00 more than the 2006 xB and with a 50,000 mile bumpe to bumper, and 100,000 mile warrenty seemed like a pretty good deal. If you are looking for a practical little box on wheels, I'd recomend you check out the Soul.

Soul + Is a Great Ride!!

I really like the ride. It is large enough to carry a lot of items and is fun to drive. I am a retired Grandmother and did not really need flashing speakers but the Grandkids think they are fun. Not just for the young. I do not have any complaints about this car yet. Got it just a few days after it came out in our area. Seats are comfy, steering wheel is larger then some of the small cars which I liked. Lots of storage - Huge glove box and storage under the cargo area in the back. Roomy back seat which has leg room.

Soul + You = Good Time

Just got my Soul + last week and love it. Great styling and more features than you can imagine for a great price. Favorites are Sirius Radio, steering wheel controls and built in bluetooth. Perfect height to easily get in and out of. Great visibility. I would recommend anyone looking for a new ride to go test drive one. Maybe be styled for 20 year olds, but this 52 years young grandmother is diggin' it too. It's just plain fun!!!!

Kia Soul Base 1.6L

Great interior space and a bunch of standard features. Excellent light clutch and steering. Good fuel economy(so far 30 city/30.5 HWY at 70-75mph), but I believe it could do better HWY mpgs with a 6th gear. (3000RPM @ 60mph) Very noisy at speeds over 60mph. Plenty of air bags and excellent warranty. Great value.
