Excellent balance price-benefits

The car is very reliable and very gas efficient, the options offered at the base trim are optional compairing them with others in the segment. I strongly recommend it.

Never Enjoyed Driving More

Never been happier ! Drives, looks, feels and handles great. Would prefer a sturdier material be used for interior as it seems a bit easy to scuff but otherwise I could not be more pleased with it. I've owned several standards this one is the easiest yet ! Super Roomy none of your friends have to suffer through the long rides in fact some may try to move in. Thank you Kia you've done well .

2010 soul GHOST

i feel in love with the car before i drove it. I love new vehicles on the market and always research features even if im not going to buy one. but this vehicle had my ears pointed. im 6 ft 2in and never considered it for myself but fortunately for me my wife is 5'1 and we had a 2 door cobalt we were getting tired of. when we got to the delearship it was pack full of people. we test drove a dark gray colored soul and fell in love right away. but to my suprise that had one out front that had every feature any $30k car had and a third less called the GHOST EDITION i had to have it. with a little price negotiating. the rest is history. she likes driving it i love riding in it. P.S. there are many more souls on road now that we have ours. but this edition is a real head turner.

Fun Car

I purchased my Soul in January and I love it. The car is totally loaded with features. The stereo is awesome and I traded in my Cadillac for this car. This is the best car purchase I have ever made. BTW I spend $26.00 on a tank of gas and it lasts a long time.

My First FUN Car

Java Soul (!) -- 3 months; +/- 3,000 miles. Pros: Styling; Color; Tinted windows; Fog lights; Hound's tooth seats; Stereo/Mood Lights; Steering Wheel Controls; Sunroof; Height of Driver's Seat; Easy to get in/out of car; Handling; Fun to drive; Tight turn radius; Fairly comfortable ride with plenty of head and leg room; Adjustable visor extension; Trunk lift gate very easy to use; Trunk liner compartment; Did I mention the killer sound system; Options for the price! Cons: Gas Mileage a bit less than advertised (some SUVs with larger engines getting better MPG!); Tachometer stays steady at 2.5-3k while in cruise control on the highway -- feels as if the engine is straining; Interior trim scratches easily; Window & door control buttons feel cheap; I-Pod cable sold separately!!; 18" low-profile tires find ALL road bumps (test drove with 16" standard wheels/tires = not as bad); When washing car on flat surface, water collects and rests in grille, hatch and side trim pieces -- very hard to dry; Glare on inside of windshield where the beige colored areas of the dash reflect up; Outside door handles and fuel tank cover feel very cheap and plastic-y; Huge blind spot between rear passenger's side window and cargo area when backing up; The 'leather' steering wheel is actually plastic molded to look like a leather-covered wheel; Horrible ear drum-popping effect with rear window(s) down (alleviated a bit by opening front windows). Suggestions: Needs 5th gear and more power; Would love more driver-accessable storage; Side door bumper molding -- make that body color for a classier look; Include the I-Pod cable standard; Give the driver the ability to slide seat back further to the rear; Add automatic side mirror dimmers and defrosters as a feature; Add air/heat vents in the roof above the passenger seats and trunk area (like those equipped on the Sedona); Add lumbar support to driver's seat. Reliability: Rated 3 stars because it's too soon to tell. However, no issues thus far... It may need some minor tweaking but overall I love my SOUL!

LOVE THIS CAR!!

2 months ago, I got the Soul Exclaim-and have just had a blast with it! It is roomy (my husband is 6'2 and can easily sit in it) and fun to drive and has a nice bit of zoom to it. The sound system is great and I love the speaker lights! I like the look of it and especially love my sunroof! If you are looking for a fun, zippy car to drive around in with great safety features, this is it! I got the fabulous green color called Alien! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

so far so good

bought this car in april msrp about 18k but made a good deal. only put 1.3k miles in it but it is so far so good. gas milege is very disappointing; 22.7 for first fillup 23 for second, 23.5 for third so so on. i hope it will increase because it is a new car so i will have to wait. everything is find except for the plastic interior quality. if u scratch hard, it won't gone and u cant really put bulky sunglasses in the case. but overall it is a good car and i dont even expect leather all over the car so plastic is not a thing i do care about. i have metallic (dark gray) but molton red would look awesome!

I really recommend this car for anyone.

I've had this car for 6 months now and I still love it to this day. I read a review about the bluetooth and how the person they were talking to couldn't hear them, but I haven't had that problem. The person I'm talking to can hear me and I can hear them just fine. I purchased the additional cleaning package at the dealership the day I bought the Soul. I took my car in a week or so after I bought it and the dealership sprayed the exterior and interior to help keep it looking like new. Then, a few weeks after that Kia sent me car wash, polish, glass cleaner, and vinyl cleaner. That stuff works great. Makes me actually get out there and clean my car on my own since it does such a better job than the automatic car washes you go through. I don't drive much, in 6 months I've only driven 3,000 miles. I had a Hyundai Elantra before this and gas mileage-wise, it's about the same. I haven't had any problems with the car, which I shouldn't by this time. There are so many great features you get with this car you can't pass it up. I test drove a Nissan Cube and Scion xB after I drove the Kia Soul. It's the test drive that sold me. The brakes on this car are unbeatable. You barely have to touch them to stop the car. The Cube seemed a little top heavy, and I didn't like the front view I had with the Cube and Scion. I couldn't tell where the corner or front end of the car was while driving. I'm sure over time I would learn, but I can easily see where it is with the Soul. The Kia dealership was the best out of all of them. Since you can't haggle with the Scion, that was really going to be a last resort. The Nissan dealership was only willing to drop the price 500 dollars. They told me this after I had already driven the cars and knew I liked the Kia better, but it was a bit more expensive than the others. However, in the end Kia went down the most to cheaper than what I would have had to pay for the Cube and xB. We got the deal on the last day of November, so I'm a believer that if you wait for the end of the month you can get yourself a deal. This car turns great, has enough power to get going after a stop, and handles corners and sharp turns without a problem. The doors open wide - great for moms who need to get children buckled in or fit car seats through the doors. Kia gave me 6 months free for the satallite radio, and I only thought I was getting a 3 month trial period. I know this is a long review, but if you haven't test driven one or are still stuck on what to get - I totally recommend this car.

Great car for the money

My daughter received this car as a graduation present and was just thrilled! It had all the little 'extras' she wanted (sunroof, flashing speakers, tinted windows) and all the safety features we wanted (side impact airbags, great reviews on safety). Only thing I wish it had is daytime running lights or that it would automatically turn off the headlights when the car is turned off. Otherwise, we all love this car for the room, the value, and the cuteness factor!

Very Cool Car

I have owned my Soul Sport for close to three weeks now and I really enjoy it. It's fun to drive, fun to look at and the list goes on. So far I have enjoyed an average of 26mpg mixed driving with about 800 miles driven. My only complaint really, is the BlueTooth feature. It's junk! Everybody I talk to on it says I'm scratchy and difficult to understand if they can hear me at all. However, on my end I can hear everbody just fine, it sounds great. It connects quickly to my phone and transfers my address book without any problems. It's just that the quality is bad. I just need to take it to the service department I guess when I have some free time.
