Stung!!!!

First, I would like to say that I've been following the development of this car since the concept came out a few years ago. After taking in every piece of information online about the Stinger I went for a test drive. I made sure to test drive every variant of it from the 4 cylinder to the maxed out 3.3TT. While the 4 cylinder was good, the 6 was a monster. The car has a few quirks that any first year model would but overall, it's the best car I have purchased. It meets every need of a vehicle I would want, from the performance, practicality and daily comfort. It the best sport sedan for the money right now! I ended up getting a GT1 AWD model which had every feature that I would want in a car. Others would say go for the GT2, and if you can, by all means but the best bang for your buck is in the GT and GT1 models. If you have a stigma about KIAs, go test drive the Stinger and you just might be surprised.

Practically Drives Itself

I traded in a 2005, AWD, 5.7 Ltr. Dodge Magnum for this car. I had the Stinger GT less than a week and headed off to work. While on the GS Parkway I got caught in one of the worst torrential downpours of the summer. Traffic pretty much came to a, typical for the Parkway no matter what the weather, standstill. The environment inside felt like a cocoon - by shear coincidence or maybe not so coincidental, WQXR was playing Ravel's Bolero on the Harmon Kardon and the rain sensing wipers seemed to not only conduct the music but the thunder and lightening as well. It was as if the car was telling me to relax and enjoy the ride. The adaptive cruse control works great at keeping a safe and adjustable distance and also brings the car to a dead stop in heavy traffic. Just a tap of the gas makes it resume. Even on the Parkway, I rarely have to use the pedals except for when the stupid xxxxxxx in their BMWs, Subaru WRX's and Jeeps who think their car is a Ferrari cut me off within inches as they speed down the Parkway in heavy traffic at 80+ MPH. . . . enough xxxxxxxx.. . . The hatchback and fold down rear seats give you has plenty of room for luggage, groceries, etc . Along with lane keeping assistance, AWD and a 365 HP twin turbo engine its the best car I've ever owned. Looks great too. I guess that's the only problem with it - every reckless jerk out there wants to race you. I can't wait for it to break in so that I can blow the doors off the jerks with their BMW, WRX and Jeeps . . .. only kidding. ;)

Not good

Computer was shot after 3k miles. Vehicles is completely stock. I have also heard that the yellow stingers are having issue with their paint job.

Amazing car to drive.

I purchased the car three weeks ago and cannot fault it. It has amazing performance and handling whilst being extremely comfortable. It is packed with the latest technology and I am still enjoying every minute of driving it.

Disappointing....

Lets start with the good, its a great performer. No complains there. But the car feels old quick, rattles, squeaks, el cheapo leather, and a somewhat junky feel to the driving experience. It's like every single component is one step down from the German competition. Nothing feels high quality, not for this car's price tag anyway. What got me trading it off in 6 months was a twofold, the dealership and the car's gaudy styling (which I thought I'd warm up to but its purely subjective) The dealers are terrible, service is a pain as my store has ONE Stinger certified technician. You get treated no differently than the guy getting a $29,95 oil change on his Rio, sad to say we both get treated like garbage. So long Kia, nowhere near the vehicle quality/ownership experience needed to play with the luxury brands. Quite happy with my new Lexus thankyou.
