2019 Lexus ES 350 consumer reviews

This car replaced my brand new RX which I had to get rid of after a year because Lexus could not fix the horrible droning, vibration, and hesitation issues and I wanted to drive a normal car again. Those issues have plagued this gen RX since it came out in 2015. Lexus released an unsuccessful TSB for the droning/vibration. Then Lexus and its dealerships would lie saying its normal, and that "I'm the first" to complain of these issues. I brought the issues up on social media, and Lexus blocked me. The price of this new ES was raised but the quality wasn't. There are lots of cheap hard plastics inside that look like they were pulled out of a Yaris. Rough shifting transmission has everyones head snapping back. The ML sound system, that Lexus charges extra for, sounds terrible and is so front biased with no sound coming from the rear. The base system sounds so pathetic. Car does not feel roomy up front and theres not much storage areas. The center armrest is for one arm only, so if there are two people upfront, someone is out of luck. I have constant loud creaking and popping sounds coming from both rear doors. Car sits very low, making it hard to get in and out of. Also, you have to do quite a bit of bending over to grab contents from the trunk. Always heard the ES was a quiet car, but the only time it seems to be quiet is on smooth roads, but what car isn't quiet on smooth roads? On all other roads there's quite a bit of road noise coming into the cabin. The trunk has exposed hinges to crunch whatever you throw in there. Lexus shrunk the cargo net, it's so tiny that it can't hold two grocery bags. Onto the exterior, where's the power folding mirrors you would expect at this mid 50's price point? And the misaligned trim pieces and large panel gaps are unbelievable. Absolutely terrible build quality. The car wreaks of cost cutting and I don't recommend it to anyone!!

Sunroof has been back 3 times to the dealer for wind noise and realignment. The glass panel corners keep popping up. They replaced the seal and now the air leak noise is terrible!!! Now the dealer is telling me this is normal. So sad about this. Lexus USA is getting involved. I asked them for a letter stating that wind noise and air leaks at the sunroof is normal. Drove a Nissan Sentra rental with a sunroof.....zero air leak. Same for my 6 year old Camry and 2 year old Sonata. Also zero air leaks on the 2019 IS I got as a loaner. I now officially hate this car. Lexus has gone the way of Cadillac. Too bad.

Our Lexus es350 is a great car. We love it. It is very comfortable. We choose the Sport edition over the Luxury model because we liked the styling and wheels on the Sport version better. We think it is beautiful and it has a nice amount of acceleration when you want it. It has all the bells and whistles many cars have now. The tech features are controlled by a touch pad that is a bit too sensitive and takes a little getting used to but the amount of features is impressive. The info screen is nice and big but well integrated into the dash so it isn't so "in your face". The 17 speaker Mark Levinson audio system is nice and it has a cd player! I wish it was AWD but it is awesome anyway. We love it!!

Very pleased with the overall ride, performance and aesthetics. Husband especially appreciates cooling seats , and we both the memory seats. Just getting familiar with the many electronic controls.

This car has everything. It seems to suit me perfectly. It's very comfortable with plenty of legroom and height and all the buttons and switches are in the right place. The safety features make me feel as though I have a protective shield around the car. I have owned the car for 2 days and so far I'm extremely impressed....I LOVE it !!!!!!

This is an excellent smooth ride. Great space and leg room. I love the color the style and all of the latest technology. The seats are very comfortable. Love how the seats work right with your body.

The ride and comfort of this car is great. The interior comfort and materials used inside are very good. The problem is the radio, the fade and surround sound is very poor and not workable. For a car of this class the radio is very poor.

The comfort level is superb. It’s a perfect luxury vehicle for a family of four. My sister has been enjoying it since she got it on day one! Highly recommend!!!

Sound system is defective as the rear speakers do not play unless you fade completely to the rear (thereby stopping front sound) and turn the sound up to maximum. Lexus says this is normal and will not solve problem. Apparently all of the 2019 ES350s have the same problem. Considering class action

Coming from a 13 year old dodge charge to a lexus sport, it was a huge difference. You can feel that the Lexus isn't as "tough" aka doors are lighter and care itself isn't as dense. But style is A+. The interior is comfortable and seats my family of 4 perfectly. The technology is an educational roller coaster but love it none the less. Since switching from a real key to a pod, just need to find a convenient place other than my pocket to place it. Overall this is a speedy fun car. It will be interesting to see how it does in winter.
