An efficient desirable car

I like the feel of driving the Lexus. With a 2.5L engine, it is fuel efficient in its class and can provide value to the money spent.

Fantastic car. Very reliable

It's the most reliable car I've ever owned. Drives and handles wonderfully and is surprisingly economical (20 city and up to 33 highway!!). I bought it used and have owned it for three years now and I've only taken it to the dealership for routine services. Reliability is much better than some of my prior cars (BMW 330i, Saab 9-3, Saab 9-5, Volvo S80).

Decent but falls short in it's class

Lexus' answer to the BMW 3 seriesl, Mercedes C class and Audi A4. With AWD and a natually aspirated 204bhp V6 the IS250 holds the road around corners well but lacks the acceleration and drivability of the competition. WIth an interior that leaves a lot to be desired. It is essentially a Camry with leather, all power and only a few bells as whistles. The best part is that the maintenance cost and reliability are all better than the Audi, BMW or Mercedes. A great buy for a frugal car owner who wants to experience a small taste of high performance luxury but not ready to full invest.

A reliable alternative to a 3 series

This car is super reliable and stylish. It could use a bit more power, but the 350 takes care of that problem. The interior is very nice for a car in this class and of this size and the front seats are comfortable and supportive. The rear seats are a bit tight for taller people, but suffice pleasantly for kids. There are several examples around with over 200,000 miles, showing the reliability of the car to be excellent. Maintenance is relatively inexpensive and repairs are few and far between. All in all this is a great alternative to a BMW 328 without the recurring bills.

Reliable but does not hold value

Car is amazing with all its features and how it drives but the value of the car decreases everyday you drive it. I bout mine for $10,900 and cant even sell it for $9,000.
