2008 Lexus LS 460 consumer reviews

It took me about eighteen months to settle on the car I ended up purchasing. Definitely worth the wait. Gorgeous car. Great ride! Highly recommend Lexus LS series to anyone interested in a truly luxurious ride.

Bought as a certified car at Lexis dealer. Took back for maintenance one week later. Excessive wind noise at windows and several minor things. They did the lexus fix (new trim, seals etc) and the noise is a lot better, but still more than a car of this price should have. The Nav system is not very intuitive and difficult to use, as is the voice command system. In my opinion, the Mark Levinson stereo is only average. The ride is great. Compared to both Mercedes S-550 and Bmw 750, I am disappointed with the Lexus Ls 460 L.

I was the type of guy that would trade in my car every 1-3 years until now. I can see myself keeping this one 10+ years. The car never ceases to amaze me. For the first time in my life I wish my commute was longer! People complain how it looks but I think it looks better than the MB S/BMW 7 and my wife agrees. It will even tell you the tire pressure in your spare tire! Excellent gas mileage, very smooth and quiet. Back seat in the L has amazing legroom, and so does the front. I can put the seat almost all the way back and with my young son behind me he can't kick my seat anymore! Great acceleration & smooth transmission. XM traffic works great and is not expensive. On the down side the RWD did poorly in snow, we had to drive our IS300 to get out of the parking lot instead. The automatic parking is usually a fail, especially when doing the backing into a spot. It did better parallel parking. People also complain about the brakes being too touchy, but if you really want to feel touchy brakes drive a 2009 4Runner.

Cars.com found the car for me and the car was everthing and more of what we expected. The dealer was oustanding and the sale was very smoth.

Best car on the road, period. Even my '08 is better than new cars today from other dealers. Lexus delivers and the LS460 is top notch.

It took me a while to make my mind up on purchasing this vehicle. I looked at the 750Li, and the S550 after many test drives and reading consumer report magazine, I chose the Lexus LS460L. The reason was simple customer satisfaction at all the dealerships, and the realiability of the vehicle. I just couldn't see paying the amount of money for a luxury automobile and it continues to be in the shop for repairs.

Great car only drawback is lack of seat cooling and not being able to use nave while driving while driving.

Best car we've ever own.The ride is excellent and engine has plenty of power. Only complaint is the front seats are tight in hip area on long trips.

Great value for the money - half of what a new Lexus costs with at least 10 years of reliable use. Very comfortable for long trips - just eats the miles up while pampering the driver and passengers. You feel very safe.

The Lexus LS 460 is by far the finest car you can buy for the money. It is a gorgeous car with tons of room inside that also happens to run like a champ and be as nimble as a sports car while doing it all. I am averaging about 23 miles per gallon since I purchased the car and am generally at about 30 miles per gallon on the highway. This is incredible for a huge car with a V8! Do yourself a favor and drive this car before you buy anything! You will not regret it. I was going to buy a GS 350 but a friend told me to drive an LS before buying anything. I am so glad he told me this and even more glad I listened!
