Luxery & Value
Traded in a 2008 VW GTI for more room and comfort. I have not been disappointed, exhaustively test drove ALL the new major brand SUV's from Honda, GMC, Ford, Mazda, Kia, BMW, Audi, VW you name it, I tried or researched it. Convinced nothing better on the market concerning rock solid resale value, reliability, performance, comfort and safety. First Lexus I have ever owned and will indeed not be the last.

Much better than my 2009
I have owned other Lexus and this is much better than the last generation RX. The ride & handling is much superior to the last generation, this is much more like a Lexus should be.

Wonderful Experience
My new Lexus had 7 miles on it upon delivery. It rides so smoothly. I am happy that I purchased the protective film. I have had my SUV for 107 days and not a ding or scratch in places where they are most common. I am a Lexus owner for life.

Cannot be happier
Thrilled driving a cool vehicle like this. My friends thought I've made some big bucks in my stock. I could see the admiring/envy from some people's eyes

So glad- 2011 new
I have checked many reviews of this new 2011 and got me concerned. Due to some of the reviews, about bumpiness and noise, I almost gave up on this RX. Since I am so used to drive passenger car and a pair of good and sensitive ears, the acceleration of the engine is more obvious than the car I usually drive. But, thinking that this is a SUV not a passenger car, and I need a vehicle desperately, also a 2012 model will not be much different from this model, so I finally bought it after comparing Acura and other SUVs. Never liked BMW-- I do not mind its low value/price ratio, just cannot stand the brand anyway, Lexus reminds me something noble and graceful... I am so happy I did it. The drive is so smooth and quite. I compared it side by side with a 2009 (the rating here is higher than 2011), but 2011 is much quieter. In addition, the 2011 is the safest SUV you can have. The service from Lexus is truly luxury and enjoyable, too. At least my dealership. In addition, my husband loves to drive in Standard transmission mode; and I like to use auto mode. And many other features. Could not be happier. Very proud to own a Lexus. Very minor things: the mirror for the back view is narrower than what I usually have. The image in the mirror for backing up, could be too bright in a very sunny day.

A Good Car for the Money!
I selected a Lexus RX 350 to replace my 7 year old BMW X-5. Although I truly loved the performance and drivability of my X-5, I was sick and tired of the excessive maintainance costs. So I chose the RX350 for its style, ride and reliability. Although it doesn't handle like a BMW what car does? I am very satisfied with my new RX350 and look forward to many years of reliable service.

Don't buy
I traded my wonderful 2009 RX350 for a 2011...sight unseen. I hate the 2011. It's heavy looking, poor visibility, drives like a truck, very noisy, very bumpy, sways and the seats are not comfortable. The dealership offered to change the 19" wheel for 18" to see if it would improve the ride...for $2000 out of pocket to me. I can't wait to get rid of this vehicle!

A Compromise
After looking at all of the SUVs in this price range, my wife and I settled on the Lexus RX350. It represented the best overall value or utility, comfort, reliability and gas mileage. I personally did not like the styling finding it a bit mommy-ish looking, but my wife loved it. The interior is comfortable and ergonomic and I love the mouse operated navigation system. We had a touch screen on our previous Lexus and hated the fingerprints. Overall I like the interior styling except the odd shape of the center of the dash. It's goofy looking. I don't particularly like the shift location either. I was also disappointed with the storage. The glove box is designed in such a way that the things you place in the various cubbyholes end up lying in a heap on the glove compartment door when you open it. The center console is really deep, but impractical as you have to decide what goes on the bottom since you will have to remove the things above it to get to it. The trays that are snapped on top of this area are not deep enough to be of much value. One of the things that pushed us over the edge to buy a Lexus was the fact that this SUV gets better gas mileage than it's competitors. We also, being former Lexus owners, liked the vaunted Lexus customer service experience. It really can't be beat. It's nice to get a loaner car when you have to leave yours at the dealership for service and no matter what you leave it for, your car is always returned washed and detailed. Nice touch. Likes: Gas Mileage (for it's class), Reliability, High Tech Features, Mouse operated Navigation System, Automatic Rear Hatch, Engine & Buttery Smooth Transmission, Comfort, Stock Stereo is Excellent with Outstanding Bass, iPOD Interface & Functionality, Attractive 7 Spoke Wheel Design, Always on Automatic High Beams. Dislikes: Gas Mileage, Mommy-ish Exterior Styling, Certain Elements of the Interior Styling, Lack of Useable Storage, Poor Glove Box Design, Ridiculous, Unsightly Plastic Cladding covering 75% of the engine, Color Choices.

Not so impressed with my new RX
Decided to buy this car because I used to own a Lexus ES300 from 15 years ago and really loved that car. It was very reliable, quiet, and comfortable. Also, I checked out the BMW X5 and Accura MDX, and really like the ride and comfort of the Lexus. After having owned the car for 4 months now, I find that the value, quality, and service are really not that great. The gas MPG is horrible. I'm barely getting 17 MPG between HWY and CTY. The auto AC doesn't seem to work. The AC is on and constantly blowing cool air when the ambient temp is 54 F and internal temp is set at 72 F. The auto rain sensor wiper keeps coming on when I make a full right turn. Dealer couldn't figure out what's wrong and told me to set it to 74 F instead and said they replaced a gel pad in the sensor. Problem is still there. The advisor told me that it's best to turn it to off when it's not raining!!! The layout and navigation are poorly designed. You have all these information scattered all over the car. There is no clock on the Nav. There's a separate tiny display for MPG, and driving range info. Lexus is SO cheap that they deleted the Lexus logo on the rear left of the car on 2011 model. The wind noise is more pronounce than my Honda Odyssey!
