Flight of the Navigator

Nice SUV! Fancy looking, comfortable, and pretty good cargo space! The only thing is that the 300hp 5.4 V8 seems underpowered when pushing a 3 ton vehicle. She definitely isnt "quick" per se, but thats could also be because Im not really laying into to go-pedal too hard. Gas mileage is not good, 17mpg avg at best. More like 14. But thats what you get when you buy a 3 ton suv, so I knew what I was getting in to. Still worth it though. Although it is a Lincoln, its still a Ford, so look out for typical Ford Expedition problems of that era, like bad power window regulators, door seals on glass, etc.

Best Vehicle I've ever owned

I love my Lincoln Navigator, I wish they were more affordable as I dont think I'll be able to get another one once this one dies. The only design flaw that I have found is the steps which move up and down when you open the door. This seems like a great idea and luxurious however after a little while they get stuck and keep trying to go up while driving. There's also not much trunk space if you have a full car load of people. I normally keep the 3rd row down to fit my daughter sports equipment but having the split seat option is awesome! I feel so safe driving this SUV and so comfortable.

BEST I'VE OWNED

This is a great vehicle. Reliable, comfortable, very, very few problems. 240k miles and the oil is as clean as if it were just put in when time for a change. Powerful, reliable engine and a pleasure to drive. Plenty of power. Only con is it must have medium grade fuel.

Not that great

Had the Lincoln Navigator with Ultimate package. These trucks maybe nice when bought new but after putting some mileage and use on them they really go down hill, FAST and I'm not talking about preventative maintenance items. At under 60K miles this thing will bleed you dry with sensors failing, EVAP system gremlins, electronics issues, fuel injector issues, spark plug issues, air suspension sensor and on and on.....and forget about the rust. I have a 1990's toyota with less rust than this thing. They must use real low grade steel. Ford does not know how to build a vehicle that lasts. They really should be ashamed of the build quality of their vehicles. If you want luxury that will last, go elsewhere or get an extended warranty if you can.

Roomy

I love my Lincoln Navigator it seats 8 and the third row seating is excellent my husband is 6'5 my son is 6'4 and they have plenty of leg and head room. We have owned our Navigator for 5 years, but the transmission is starting to slip. We took the vehicle to a transmission specialist but they could not fix it only Ford has the code to fix the transmission. I need to find out if there is a recall for the transmission because I really like my vehicle, also you cannot slam the liftgate with your hand it slams too hard it will lock you have to use the button for liftgate it locks so if you are in an accident the passengers don't fly out it cost us $2000.00 dollars to fix it our vehicle has air suspension brakes so the ride is smooth seats are cushion and large.

BIG Bling!

Great SUV and I got a pretty good deal on my used 2007 Navi! I like all the gadgets and navigation, excellent THX sound system. I had a short in the fuse box that affected my turn signal and brake lights, but my mechanic fixed it. This Ultimate is in good condition, except every one I looked at had a beat up hard to read plastic gear shift indicator console cover, which I replaced. Driving is very smooth, comfortable, and I definitely get looks when I drive up to places. It makes a Bling statement with all the chrome. I would have liked to have a backup camera, but the back up proximity sensors help.

The biggest most comfortable car I have ever owned

First off, this is an "L" which means it is the long navigator. There is so much room that I could take the team and their gear along. I have never felt safer in any car. It is so luxury too! want to keep mine forever. I have never had anything mechanically go wrong and it it the smoothest ride! Great for traveling.

THE LINCOLN NAVIGATOR IS A GREAT SUV

I am currently driving a staid looking 2010 Range Rover, and have previously owned and driven a Cadillac Escalade, but I honestly yearn for the days in which I drove my 2007 Navigator everyday. It just had the right amount of comfort and luxury for me without being overpriced (Range Rover) or overdoing the bling (Escalade). The massive grille and chrome trim, and beautifully designed wheels always put me in a good mood, but the power running boards are totally unique and fun to have.

Okay SUV.

We bought this car new.. everything was good until the problems started coming.. The front right caliper locked up causing the disc to get damaged. The car was still under warranty so we had them fix it. but they said it was necessary to fix ALL the calipers because they were most likely faulty. Then the back fold up seat got stuck and quit moving.. The Single fold up seat still worked. Got that fixed also. I am now noticing when I slow down the transmission does not shift right. I haven't gotten that fixed yet but I will soon. Also when you are driving the middle row of seats the compartment in the middle rattles and shakes and it becomes annoying when you're driving. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle to anyone. The MPG is LOW! the only good thing is that it takes regular. Not only to say NO ONE will buy this car if you plan on selling it due to the bad gas mileage. Overall EVERYTHING IS GREAT except for the transmission problems im experiencing.

Virtual auto start

Great car except for the auto start problem. We ordered the car with auto start. Lincoln included the charge on the sticker but it came in a box with with a 3"manual provided for the installer and no negotiated installing fee or service provider. They need to make approx 70 wire cuts to install it, so for a beginner it is a 2 day cut job. We were scared. Tried to return it - Lincoln wouldn't take it back. Tried to complain - Lincoln called and told me to sell it on EBay. They said the dealer should have known it didn't come on the car. It came on my sisters new $30,000 Aspen! It can be done! They are showing theirs off. We are showing off our box. Shame on you...Lincoln. I have a long memory.
