2020 Mazda CX-5 consumer reviews

This is my 3rd Mazda. I had a 2014 CX5, a 2016 6 and now this 2020 Mazda Grand Touring CX5. I love it, but there is a problem. The auto lift gate opens on its own several times. Early it opened against the garage door and when the garage door went up it damaged the lift gate. I took it in to Mazda (only 2700 miles) and they said there was no recall on it. So they did nothing. There is a problem, and I see other such complaints online.

I am truly loving my new Mazda CX-5 that I got from the Napelton Mazda of Libertyville dealership! My experience was great and the sales representative Tom G. did a fantastic job! He really made my process waaay easier than I could have imagined. He truly was a pleasure to work with and we also had fun conversation . He showed me all the great details and features of the car, and even helped me save a pretty penny. Thank you Tom. You the man!

Test drive when comparing crossovers: Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, VE Tiguan, Subaru Forrester. This one drove and handled the best. Fun drive. Just felt a little small on the interior and has the least amount of cargo space of all the above brands. If space isn’t a concern of yours, go for the Mazda CX-5. Drives very sporty.

This vehicle has everything I wanted and more. Fantastic styling and effortless driving experience. The Mazda CX 5 should be on everyone's list of SUV's to purchase. Will NOT dissapoint.

I’m now looking askance at my wife’s Honda Civic after having the CX for a few days. What a vehicle and a value. Seriously. Never even road in a Mazda before, but did my usual exhaustive and exhausting research and still enjoying YouTube videos where the CX-5 spikes on the competition lol. I owned fully equipped BMW 550i’s for 20 years before this, and although obviously a different car and price range, I’m not going to miss the constant trips to the dealer when another sensor, airbag, or mechanical part fails. Also, no “relatively cheap” $50 light bulbs to replace. Also, surprisingly, going from a big block V8 to a 4 cylinder Turbo, I’m not missing freeway acceleration at all. I thought I’d be switching to Sport Mode but haven’t even had to. Lastly, it’s a smoother ride and has all the features I liked most in the BMW without paying twice the price. SURE, not the same status appeal, but that was never my thing anyway. Also, the mirrors automatically fold in/out, something I’ll be sure to point out to my buddies with their CUVs that don’t do that :)

Car has ample head & leg room, easy to get in/out, trunk area is fantastic for shopping items. The vehicle is great meeting all my needs.

This car meets all my expectations. From exterior design which is nice and sleek. Interior is simple but elegant. Sound system is nice. Sport mode is the best.

Meets all my possible wants; Mpg, smooth ride, excellent audio system, adequate room ( passengers and cargo). Bought identical vehicle for my spouse - she loves it.

This car fits all of my needs. It has excellent leg room and storage space. It is a smooth ride with all the bells and whistles I love!

Happy Wife , Happy Life , She loves this car ! She loves the way it handles, the dash board make up and the gas mileage !
