2003 pathy,Poor man's land cruiser .
Bought my 2003 pathfinder used with 132000 miles on it has 19000 on it after 10 years, still runs like champ, with minimum maintenance and starter replacement , too bad they don't make it any more like they used, older generations made in Japan are more reliable than the new ones that made in the U.S other wise i would buy new ones , but they are not a true 4*4 any more just a station wagon.

I had this car for 7 years and it still runs well
I had this car for 7 years and it still runs surprisingly well ! The only problem was that the transmission broke at 134,000km but over all the car is fun to drive , i wish it has power steering tho its a little heavy . To be honest i personally would prefer a land rover lr3 over the pathfinder .

20 years later...its still runs like a champ.
Purchased in 07 w89K miles. It's been great. starting to have some original part break down like the radiator/gasket seal leaks w/300K. Worth every penny.

Best vehicle I’ve had.
Today my 01 V.6, 3.5 liter finally gave out. Hitting its last mile at 222005 miles. Started with small problems, cylinder misfires. And then she started struggling. I have had this car for about 9 years and boy has she been a journey. Gotta say it’s been the best vehicle I’ve had. I tried saving her but was dumping too much money in her. So I had to say goodbye.

Vehicle tows my boat great, 4 wheel drive works perfectly never been stuck at the boat ramp, which is sand. The AC blows nice cold air. comfortable for four adults, plenty of cargo space. Nice vehicle to take to the beach.

Good vehicle
I owned this vehicle for 3 years. I bought it with 105k and sold it at 145k miles. I paid less that 6 I for it..it was a reliable over all vehicle. I replaced breaks ,muffler ,battery ,tires. There is an unresolved issue of oil leaking. The body rust was awful.. its rusting out. It lived in North Jersey even prior to my purchase..no salt water to add to the condition.

A reliable ride with a great body!
Bought this truck March of 2014 with 129k on the odometer. It was supposed to be a temporary vehicle but ended up a keeper. This truck slowly grows on you, the way it looks, drives and most of all the reliability is best to none. Can't say that about the newer pathfinders out there. Today the odometer is at 221k and climbing, with its most recent trip to Branson, MO, it performed flawlessly. Now for the bad... it is true that pathfinders have the infamous shake of death when the upper and lower trailing arms go bad you can feel it on the highway, my experience was not as bad as others. A couple of sensors, coil packs, cd player, radiator and thermostat seem to be the most common problems with the pathfinder. I've also replaced spark plugs, belt and pulley, shocks and struts, inner and outer tie rods, starter, alternator, couple of batteries and tires. All work done myself, Nissan made it easy for the common folk to work on this vehicle. The pathfinder is truly a joy to have and would recommend anyone to buy one, unfortunately the newer ones are not as reliable as the first and second generations and as the years go by you will see less of these vehicles out there. They are heavy but built solid. Fuel mileage is not the best compared to todays SUV,s. I get about 300 miles per tank in the city and 350 miles per tank on the highway, averaging about 330 miles combined per tank.
