Homerun for pathfinder
I recently purchased the 2013 pathfinder platinum 4x4 premium and found this to be the best ( and I mean best) all around SUV out there. We test drove everything ( Mercedes Lexus and about 10 other brands and no doubt about it! The pathfinder platinum is one perfect vehicle and an awesome price too! When me and my wife actually agree on something, it has to be a 10!

Bad CVT
I purchased a brand new Platinum Pathfinder Premium for 46,000. In less than 3,000 miles the dealer had to change the Torque converter that took quite some time to get. After I finally got that done the very next day they tell me they need to change the entire transmission. Have been to dealer 7 times for the same problem. All they can tell me is they are sorry and there is nothing they can do until Nissan comes up with a fix. REED NISSAN in Orlando, FL where I purchased was absolutely no help in this matter! I had to do everything on my own to deal with Nissan corporate when REED turns their back on customers.

Totally love this SUV
I buy a car and drive it for years. My last car was a 2005 Dodge Durango Limited with a Hemi in it. Bought it new, now has over 125k miles on it. While it's been a great car, the AC has gone out 2 summers in a row and I was pretty envious of my sister and brother in law who've both gotten newer cars with pretty cool features in the last few years. So, I went car researching and shopping. My requirements: SUV with 2 inch hitch that tows at least 3k. Lot's of room in far back for large dogs. At least as good or preferably better gas milage than the Durango (which is not as bad as you'd think. I was getting around 16.5 city/21-22 freeway). And it couldn't be black or white for exterior color. Or gold. So, with that in mind, I went out and looked at/drove the following: Chevy Traverse, Chevy Avalanche, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Lexus GX 460, Acura MDX, Toyota Highlander, FJ Cruiser, Honda Pilot, Honda Ridgeline, Infiniti JX, and finally, the Nissan Pathfinder. I'm in the fortunate position to not care too much how much it cost and did not need to finance any of them. However, why spend well over $60k on a Lexus if I'm just as happy with something less expensive? The Pathfinder simply hit all the right notes in terms of luxury items that I've not had in my Durango (power tailgate, remote start, heated and cooled seats, etc, etc) and has enough room for the dogs/cargo that I'm looking for. And a hitch is standard, something that is missing from some of the more "luxury" SUVs. I liked the Pilot and the Traverse a lot, but the Pathfinder seemed more comfortable than the Pilot and I disliked the really, really small rear window of the Traverse. Made me feel closed in. I bought the loaded Platinum version, red exterior with black interior. It has been an absolutely marvelous car so far. It is so comfortable and so easy to drive. I love the power liftgate to no end. So much better than the Durango. Obviously going from a Hemi to a V6 is a bit of a tradeoff, and freeway ramps are more interesting than when in the Dodge, which could outrun all but high end sports cars. However, once up to speed it's very smooth. I've honestly not noticed any issues with the CVT. In summary, I looked at every car I thought could meet my needs. The Nissan Pathfinder exceeds them. Planning to put at least 100k on this great car too!

Nice with a few glitches
Overall vehicle is nice. Comfortable drive and seems to have enough power. There are a couple of issues. The outside mirrors are very hard to see out of during sunny day because of reflection from dashboard. Poor engineering on their part. There are buttons on the drivers lower left side dashboard for a number of items. They are very hard to get to and unsafe to use if driving. Couple of items I think Nissan should have looked at are power mirrors and power folding seats in the rear. Would have been nice for such a expensive vehicle. Ford has done it, Nissan could have.

Pathfinder fan
Owned a 2005 Acura MDX. Had to replace air compressor and radiator. After pouring money in the MDX, we thought we could wait another year to buy a new car. We saw the 2013 Pathfinder but wanted to wait for the 2014 model. Unfortunately our MDX is no longer reliable and decided to get the 2013 Pathfinder. Best decision we ever made! The car is just superb! Truly deserving of a 5-star rating. This is our first Nissan - we should have gotten one a long time ago!

Loved the car
It is a great car and an excellent value for money. The Engine and the frame of the car is same as its Luxury counterpart Infiniti JX35. The interior is also very similar. Loved the comfort in the car and the access to third row is very easy. Third row seating and access to it is the best I have seen in its class. Drive is very stable and reliable. Very good color options for both interior and exterior. Just a wonderful car.

Da wife's PF
Let me first be clear that this is the wife's car. We went together to test drive it and drove it home the very same night. Very nice quality to the interior. Seats are very comfortable. Great visibility out of the greenhouse. She purchased the SL which comes with leather seats. The problem I have is with the CVT. Yes, she does get the "shudder" at low speeds/RPMs, but it is not constant. The CVT is slow to react at acceleration. Not sure what she is getting as far as MPGs. What I do know is she has about 1500 miles on it (purchased in March) and the last couple weeks she has been to the gas station at least two times each week. Her daily commute is about 50 miles a day. Apologize that I don't have more accurate numbers. Drives very "trucky". Some SUVs drive like a car...not this one. We paid $34K out the door, tax, plates, and all. I would recommend the vehicle but wait for the 2014 model year.

2013 Pathfinder So far So Good
I have had my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder for about three weeks now. So far I love it. Much more room than my Nissan Murano. The ride is very smooth, the engine noise could be quieter. Nissan advertises the Pathfinder to have more efficient fuel economy than previous models. Not sure though why when i fill up, the trip computer says I have 275 miles to an empty tank. My Nissan Murano read most of the time over 400 miles to an empty tank. I know this is calculated on driving speeds, braking, acceleration, etc. but is there some kind of miscalculation? I hope to see this number improve. Other than that, it is a great SUV. We are still getting aquainted with each other.

Loved My Muranos- Love my NEW Pathfinder!
My wife and I owned 3 Muranos consecutively but were intrigued by the new Pathfinder. I drove one as a test drive and we loved it. We think of it as basically a larger more capable Murano. In fact we like the Pathfinders interior a little better than the Muranos. I'm 6'1" and have lots of space and comfort. My wife is 5'2" and can easily find a great driving position. The pre programmed seating helps in our SL. Reliability should NOT be a problem as I have owned Nissans for 11 years and never had any major mechanical isues.
