One of my best
The car meet my driving expectations dry, wet and snow lots of leg room including 3rd row seat. Own the vehicle for seven years no issues at all only regular service oil change rotors tires brake pads pretty much that it maybe I’m one of the lucky owners.

Worst car I have owned
I bought the Pathfinder because on paper it provides a lot of car for the money. The Platinum trim I own shows off with a lot of bells and whistles like cameras all around, navigation, heated and cooled seats to name a few. At first the car seemed to be doing really well however, it is rather sluggish and the CVT takes a while to get used to. Visibility is rather horrible so the cameras come in handy. The ride quality is not horrible but on Chicago streets it rattles a lot under the dash board, a good indication of the poor quality. Shortly after the warranty was up the problems started to come forward. In the last 6 month I was forced to spend north of $ 4.5k on unexpected repairs. AC compressor quit $1k transmission quit extended warranty covered the transmission but I was stuck with $ 2.5k worth of associated cost for parts that were destroyed due to the swap of the trany. Radiator fan at $900. Now the car is vibrating and shaking at certain speeds and Nissan suggests that the front axles need replacement at $ 1.6k. The car has only 83k on the odometer but it seems to be falling apart . At $ 43k it is not necessarily a cheap vehicle but it definitely suffers from poor quality materials and parts. This will definitely be my last Nissan vehicle and I can only warn anybody out there not to waist good money on these POC's .

This car met all my family’s needs. Has tons of room and was great for road trips and vacations. Has always ran great. Couldn’t ask for a better car.

Big Mistake
Never know what is next. Has had transmission and rear end replaced at 30k miles. Both front axles replaced. Brakes all the way around (rear 35k miles - front 75K miles). Always has had a rattle when driving down the highway. Fuel gauge/miles remaining tends to lie. Both visors currently removed since they're $400 and hung in driver and passengers vision. Sunroof wouldn't close since silencer tar/goo melted onto the glass when it was opened. Warranty almost up so she needs to go. Doesn't compare to our 2001 Pathfinder we had for 216,000 miles. Nowhere close.

Not impressed by Nissan Belleville ON Canada
Nice vehicle, problem with CVT (2014) was supposed to get it replaced by Nissan Belleville under warranty (after chef mechanic went through a chart with me) but manager refused at the last minute and charge me 80$ for software update. Still have same problem with CVT ,!!

Do NOT buy
Transmission totally went out. Researched options after getting the estimate to replace/fix. Discovered 2014-2016 Nissan CVT engines have a class action lawsuit. I called and Nissan will not cover. 3 months later, a sister's friend with the same model and year has his transmission go out and Nissan is covering half of his cost!!! Shudders / shakes violently when speeding back up from a right turn yield signs. Started having transmissions slips after towing small flatbed trailer with upper kitchen cabinets (very lightweight); a couple of months later the transmission goes out completely.

Problematic
I bought a certified used Pathfinder with about 50k miles on it. It now has 82k miles. Problems I've had that were covered by warranty include a major transmission problem, a wheel bearing, and a cv axel. Problems I've had or am having NOT covered by warranty include needing all new brakes, A/C compressor, electronic power steering pump motor (VERY expensive if bought new thru Nissan), and a recurring problem with the button for releasing the back hatch gate (very cheap plastic bracket hold the button in place, but the bracket has broken TWICE). I also chose the Pathfinder because it is rated to tow 5,000 lbs. It does. However, I went from about 20 mpg to 6 mpg while towing a small camper. If I ever get all the small things fixed I will get rid of this and buy a pickup (but not a Nissan)!
