Great little SUV

I recently purchased a dealer demo with 8K miles. I LOVE this car! Considered the Toyota Rav4, Hyundai Tucson, and Subaru Crosstrek. "Almost" bought a Tucson, but couldn't reach a satisfactory deal on the sale price. The Crosstrek felt very "plastic" and plain to me on test drive, so I looked at the Murano, which was too pricey for my budget. Saw the Black Amethyst Rogue FWD with SL package on the lot and fell in love with it! I'm coming out of an '03 XTerra 4 x 4, so I was leery to lose the 4 wheel drive to the FWD, but had a good snow today and drove the Rogue and it handled like a little champ! Very pleased! Interior is snazzy, sleek and comfortable. Lots of bells and whistles. Exterior is polished and very stylish. The fact that it's purple (well, Black Amethyst to be exact...) seals the deal for me. I look forward to taking it out on a road trip this Spring! I only rated reliably and performance as 4's because it's too soon to form and informed opinion on those.

where to start oh yes. it's quite the bang for the buck except the CVT transmission quite the reviews I've seen. It seems its starting to go in our rogue. besides all this I'm quite impressed by the exterior styling and room this also implies on the interior as well. As for the suspension they could've done better the suspension is stiff like cardboard as for the seats are firm and supportive. as for the sound system is medium and technology is well equipped but very complex it's not as simple as it seems well for me. this car has quite a unique niche in the car industry which it does well. It offers room and fuel efficiency if not effected by the CVT transmission. It's the perfect car for the common consumer looking for a cheap way into town and back.

First and Last Nissan

We've owned Suzuki's for 25 years, still own a 08 SX4. When Suzuki quit selling in the U.S., we needed to find another manufacturer. We ended up choosing the 2013 Nissan Rogue. We put about 1100 miles on it before going on vacation. We averaged 25.4 miles. It is a comfortable car to ride in. We absolutely love the interior, however, the GPS is worthless, even dangerous. If you count on it, you will get lost. We use our Garmin. Also, the BOSE sound system is disappointing, very disappointing. The exterior is stylish, but the paint is horrible. It nicks looking at it. It has more damage from just one vacation than any other car we've owned. Now at 5,000 miles, it is worse than our 2008 SX4. At 3700 miles, the dealer changed the oil. Shortly after, the consistent 25.4 MPG began to drop. We took it to Niagara Falls Canada from Pennsylvania, and the mileage continued to get worse with the cruise set on the highway. My wife thought the motor was getting loud when we climbed a grade or passed a car. We turned the radio off, and it did sound loud. The noise got worse, almost sounding like a diesel. Only under load, normal driving it sounds fine. I stopped and checked the oil, and it was right on the full mark. Going into Canada, it was bad enough to justify further action. We wasted a half day of a three day vacation finding a Canadian Nissan Dealer. The Service manager went with me for a ride and said it was the engine revving high under load. He said it was the CVT transmission. He's heard a couple sound like that. That would also explain my loss in MPG. He checked the oil, and said he felt the car was safe to drive since it had no indicator lights on. He said to follow up with the Nissan dealer at home, but I would probably be told this was normal. He was right, as my dealer drove it, and said that is a characteristic of the CVT. It almost feels like it's slipping. We bought the extended warranty for 6yrs./72,000 miles. We love the ride of the car, styling to, but we will never buy another Nissan. As of this writing, it's down to 18.7 MPG consistently. If Suzuki ever starts selling in the U.S., this car will be traded the next day.

Most Reliable and sporty car Ive owned

Since I test drove my Roque I fell in love with it and I knew it was mine from the minute I got in the drivers seat , it drives smooth and its very roomy and spacy it feels like a caddy . The Best experience to buy a car at Reliable Nissan on Coors across the Cotton wood mall especially when Jared Taylor my sales guy and including his Manager Jose Martinez are there because they treat you like family and they know how to take care of us customers. They make sure you are happy with the best deal ever and if I have to purchase another car ill go back again and again.Again if you want to be treated like a family member and not a number go to Reliable Nissan on Coors across the Cotton Wood Mall and ask for Jared Taylor or Jose Martinez and let them know I Butterfly sent you and they will get you a good deal:) For sure they deserve 5 stars In my book.

great gas mileage

The car is great for the price and the gas mileage is awesome. I traded in a V6 7 passenger car to this so it takes some time to get used to - I am only take 4 passengers now instead of 6 and must get used to the 4 cylinder.

faulty transmission issues!

I owned a 2010 Nissan Rogue and used to love everything about it, until I experienced some serious safety issues. If you are interested in this car, do yourself and your loved ones a big favor and google the CVT transmission issues with this vehicle. The transmission is known for overheating, and going into safety mode. This happened to me several times, and when it is in safety mode, it will decelerate to approximately 40 MPH and if you stop, it won't go! It is a horrible feeling when one pushes the gas pedal with no response! Nissan did not deny the problem, and also did not work with me to rectify the situation. I no longer drive this vehicle, and I watch for them on the road, as I now understand the lack of control that comes with this vehicle. Please be careful!

I am High on the Rogue!

This car is a reflection of the excellence and responsiveness of the Nissan Brand. My dealership, Frank Fletcher Nissan in Joplin, Missouri, makes purchasing a car an enjoyable, easy experience! They are like family to me and anticipate your needs and wants even before you verbalize them! The Rogue is a head-turner and has the impact and class and visual appeal of a BMW or Mercedes SUV. The lumbar support and visibility are superior and I LOVE the key less feature. Haven't figured out the Navigation system yet, but that is 'my bad' as the kids say.

Not a driver's car by any stretch

I had the displeasure of driving one of these while my Volvo XC60 was in the shop after being rear-ended. I would not recommend this Rogue to anyone who enjoys driving or considers themselves a car enthusiast. This is strictly for people who only view cars as transportation. Styling - Terrible. Ugly doesn't quite describe the horrible lines of this terrible wagon. It is more a bloated tick of a station wagon than a crossover. The styling is very dated...it was interesting when the Murano first came out, but enough is enough already. CVT...terrible. Unless you're driving a hybrid, there is no discernible reason to put a CVT on a vehicle. The fuel economy was no better than my much larger and heavier (and V-6 powered) Volvo XC60. It sounds like a lawnmower bogging down on a dense patch of grass when you step on the gas. And the rubberband-like acceleration courtesy of the CVT makes the engine noise even less car-like.. It bounces around and body rolls like a delivery truck, The steering wheel gives zero feedback from the road, only adding to the terrible feel of the drive. Round a bend at speed and you have to rely on luck and experience because the steering wheel isn't going to tell you what's going on below you, and the whole thing will leeeeeaaaaaan out of the turn like a bus. I can't imagine the Rogue did very well during its roll-over testing. It's actually a little unnerving.

I only had it 1 month, but so far I love it

I love the car, it's great. The only 2 "buts": after you turn left or right, you need to use your hand to put turn light back, otherwise the turn light will go on (unless your turn is not really a dramatic one). 2) Music - my old flash drives do not work in this car somehow....
