Worst car I’ve owned

I have owned this car from new. The power at acceleration declined within a year. The gas mileage was always an issue. The transmission went out in 2019, as I wrote this, dealer lied and said my extended warranty was expired. Luckily I found my warranty and it’s being replaced with new today. The OCS sensor is now bad. Found a recall I wasn’t notified on. Resale value as of 2019 is $4000. Purchased in 2014 new for $20k. So angry.

Transmission issues. Do not purchase!

The transmission started going out at around 115,000 miles. I take good care of my vehicles and I've never had a transmission go out so quick. These CVT transmissions are terrible. I still owe $2800 on the loan for my car and my only option now is to pay $4000 for a new transmission that will likely go out soon rather than later.

2 transmission failures

This vehicles transmission had a total failure when I was 6 hours away from home on a family trip. Luckily my boyfriends grandma was around to let us use her credit card. We were old enough to rent a car and she had to use her car because of that! I went in right before warranty expiration and they said they didnt get any codes. Sent me home, acted like nothing was wrong. I told them it was pulling like last time and rpms going crazy like last time but they told me that's just how the car drives and its sensitive. I dont even think they test drove it or they would have known! But I believed them since no codes showed up!!! Now at 116 k miles my car had another transmission fail. I owe still and I cant drive it all. Faulty dangerous car. I was going down the highway the second time it happened! It was scary, just started jerking and pulling. This second time the service manager has been extremely unpleasant and hateful.

Since I've bought it, I've barely been able to dri

This car seemed great when I first bought it. However the transmission has gone for the second time already. It's completely dangerous. Between the first time I had a new transmission installed into now when I went to the shop and found my transmission is blown again. I had only drove a little over 4,000 miles within 11 months going on 1 year. Barely any driving. I get the car serviced as expected and its very upsetting. I feel like it's a beautiful car but this danger I am put in constantly obviously outweighs that. And I feel I've made the wrong choice and I'm now stuck. Something should be done about these transmissions that I found happens A LOT. I don't dare to ever put my children in the car because it may happen again. It always happens when im mid turn going into traffic and it just stalls and then shoots me forward. Very scary!

Good car but beware

While I loved the design of the car I bought it new in May 2013. I had to replace the battery 3 times. Brakes and brake cylinder replacement, and was told I needed a new Transmission at 79k miles even thou I had the Flush at the recommended 65k. Researched the problems and realized it was time to purchase a different auto with a different car company. The Nissan CVT Transmissions are a problem on most of their vehicles and until they change this I will never purchase a Nissan Vehicle again.

Transmission not working at 70 thousand mile

Don't get a Nissan Sentra with a cvt transmission only at 70 thousand mile it doesn't work. And was told by mechanic that the Altima and Sentra have been having the same problem. Have the worst transmission ever in a car

Gets the job done, driver friendly vehicle!

Around 30 mpg, 20 dollars generally fills the tank ! One of the best daily sedans with great mpg. Reliable 24/7 for all of your daily driving needs.

Cvt transmission problem

I’m at 125000k and am now on my 2nd transmission. There is a program that they will pay a portion of the cost of putting in a new one, but to be honest although it helps this is definitely not good enough. The transmission lasted me a year and a half since fix. If I have to pay 2600-4000 every 2 years for a transmission I would say this car is definitely not reliable and do not recommend. This is my first Nissan and almost certainly will be my last.
