Owner review. Our family bought this car new. I have to admit, it wasnt the car I wanted and I was expecting to dislike it, drive it for a few years and trade it in. It really won me over with its reliability, versatility, and cost. Ive taken it on several road trips (slept in it, camper style), used it to haul and move house, carpooled and commuted, and generally used it in almost every capacity imaginable. It has great fuel efficiency, low cost for maintenance (and Ive put loads of miles on), a spacious interior (the back seat is almost more roomy than the front, and when the seats fold down the hauling space rivals a small truck. Plus, so many cup holders!). It runs smooth and quiet, has yet to give me any engine trouble, handles very well. The only downside would be that it is not the most powerful engine, but it gets the job done and is not annoyingly sluggish, and it is a fun car to drive.

Reliable commuter car

I drive less than 4 miles to work 5 days a week. I NEED a small reliable car that gets great gas mileage. Nissan Versa is my choice. Pros: $28 to fill up the tank. Tons of internal space for a small car. Hatchback, rear seats fold down. Super easy to park. Handling is VERY sharp and responsive. Cons: it’s not quick off the line but it improves as the car warms up.

Fuel efficient and reliable

I own a 2009 Versa 1.6L 5spd manual with 251,000 miles and counting. At 2009 it start giving me maint issues and all at once so it was a challenge , catalyst , tune up, clutch , lower control arms and related suspension parts ... I did all the work myself but considering 209k is a lifetime for a car in itself I think that is pretty amazing

Second Versa I've Owned

I bought a Versa new in 2007. A deer sadly totaled it in 2017. I deliberately set out to replace it with another Versa. The new Versa Notes I see have stepped down in price & quality of interior. So I chose a 2009 as it has better interior & appointments. My '07 had 163,000 miles on it & all I had to do was maintain it. Very reliable car. I'm 66 years old, retired teacher, so I'm doing yard work & a little remodeling to my house. I can carry quite a lot of "stuff" in this smaller car. When this '09 goes, eventually, I will DEFINITELY replace it with another Nissan. They hold their value & have been very reliable. I've owned 6 Nissans in my lifetime.

Cute and reliable car

It is just the exact size I wanted. The colour is also very good, because it is black , it looks like a brand new car.

Great daily driver

This car is inexpensive, but reliable. It won't win any speed contests, but it will get one from point a to point b. I have the standard transmission version, and couldn't be happier with it, as it is. It's great fun driving a stick shift, and it is very responsive. This model does not have a/c however, which would be nice to have. The only other mark against it I can think of would be that it is such a small car that driving at highway speeds can be a bit scary if one is not accustomed to it.

Nice car for the money

This car is very basic, just what my son needed. I test drove it for him and was impressed on how fun it was (5 speed manual trans.). It is a plain car, not very many options on the one I drove, but it had all the necessities that you need; i.e. a/c, stereo with c.d., very good heater. All in all we got a fair deal on this car. Also, Nissan's have a good mechanical track record too.

My first car

I received this car when it was four years old and it hasn?t let me down yet. I?ve only had issues with flat tires and some trouble with collaboration. Driving wise, the old girl?s still got it. I?ve had this car since I was 16 and I?m 23 now. Only thing I couldn?t stand was the lack of an aux cord (but I use the cigarette lighter to use a radio transmitter aux) and the trunk stopped being able to open after a year. I may just stick with the Nissan Versa and just get a newer one. It was nice while it lasted.

my beloved car

The car met all my needs. It was very reliable. It was excellent on gas. There was enough room for my everyday commuting, but small for long distance travel.
