This car was perfect for the commute. Comfortable and safe. Very dependable but I did maintain regular maintenance during the time I owned it. If you are looking for a small car for that long commute that you can be comfortable in, is great on gas, and doesn't break your bank ...this is it!

This car has a small footprint, but that doesn't affect the comfort in the front seats one bit--in fact, this car is actually more comfy than my previous Ford Taurus. I have the 6 speed manual transmission hatchback model. It has surprising room in the trunk and the back seats can be collapsed to give even more room. It is also getting good mileage: more than 400 miles to a tank of gas, so around 27 mpg highway/24 city. And it is just plain FUN to drive! Also has surprising pickup for a 4 cylinder car, a decent AM/FM sound system, though only 1 CD player. I paid $4750 for the car(mileage of 148K) and the dealer included an oil change. Tires are near new, too. I really could not be happier!

We bought this Versa during the "Cash for Clunkers " promotion so our mindset was price only. We bought the base model with nothing power and manual transmission. We were pleasantly surprised with the interior and trunk space! It's been reliable the whole time we've owned it. Two company recalls that were taken care of.

Great on gas, fun peppy car, after about 100k, it began to need a good bit of work. Hard to work on DIY wise, but inexpensive to work on in all. Would definitely buy this car again.
