Nice little car

good around town car. I am not a fan of the CVT type transmission, it works but I would not buy another car with a CVT. A/C, as it says in the manual not recommended for use at low speeds (when you need it most) Still overall a pretty good little car.

A very dependable car.

I'm very happy with my car . I've had no problems at all with it. I would buy it again if I needed another car. It was a good deal !

3 transmissions in 5 years!

Most Nissan owners sacrifice comfort, handling and basically they forgo the fun of driving when they purchase a subcompact in order to get low gas mileage. But when you have to spend $5,000 for a new transmission (because they are too hard to fix) at 120k then replace it again 8k miles later, you may as well buy a more expensive car that is reliable and fun. What is most frustrating is the transmission doesn’t have a dipstick and the mechanic charges hundreds just to check and add fluid. Yes, it gets good mileage, yes it’s roomy with amazing trunk space, but....

Great gas mileage and reliable

Great little car. Not a luxury ride, but a reliable ride. No issues. Runs great! The ride is a little noisy but expected for this size vehicle.

CVT Transmission Died, Like the Rest of them...

In and out of shop for small things like new struts, rotors, battery, fan belt, water pump, etc, then at 130,000mi the CVT transmission died on the freeway. Cost to replace was $4,000. We decided to junk it and buy a new car instead. We are still making payments for it, too, but "what are you going to do?" From what I hear Nissan and others know that CVT transmissions are crap and that they break every 60-80,000mi, but they don't want to alarm people or do recalls because of $$$. Figures. I suppose you could consider it lucky we made it as far as we did. By the way, our new car is a Toyota, automatic transmission!

Nissan Versa Note 2014 SV Transmission Problems

Our CVT transmission just completely failed in a 2014 Versa Note SV with 103,000. I bought this new car and decided to buy it with zero miles because it was a great car. Bad move. The transmission began to slide, breaking and stopping the car. He towed it to the distributor. He said the cost would be $ 6000 to replace the entire transmission. I called Nissan Corporate but they did not help me. They said it's out of warranty. and this fault had been presented since before 60000 miles but they never wanted to recognize that the transmission presented problems and always left with what was another fault until now it is out of warranty they say it is the transmission, they did not even offer to pay 50% I have seen many problems with the CVT transmission. Something needs to be done. This is not quality and Nissan has to guarantee its cars up to 150000 miles. I will NEVER buy a Nissan vehicle., the quality of nissan is going down and it is the worst agency not worth the price for what they sell.

Was a great reliable car

In a way I hated to get rid of it. But had quite a few miles on it. Never had any trouble with it but with almost 93000 miles on it thought maybe it was time to find something else. I have heard people who have put over 200000 miles on these cars without any major repairs, but just thought it was time to get something different. Whoever buys it will have a nice car.

Super roomy car, especially for a compact car

Great gas mileage. Tons of head and leg room for 4 full size adults. Not a race car but for a compact car it has good acceleration

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR UNLESS IT HAS A NEW TRANSMISSI

I only owned this car for a week and the transmission packed up. My saving Grace was the extended warranties I bought along with the car. It cost almost $7000 to bring the car back to the road, $1467.52 came out of my pocket. Please only buy if it has a new transmission and not the original (terrible) one.
