love this car

Hated to have to get rid of this car, it's fun to drive, comfortable and reliable. Only reason I have to sell is to upgrade to accommodate a bigger family.

Great car for the money

Bought brand new. We have owned it for 13 years and have put over 200,000 miles on it. I would purchase another one but Nissan quit making them. They really left the buyers that want a body on frame SUV out in the cold when they decided to stop production.

All around solid vehicle

Really stable on the road, averaging 20mpg, on longer freeway trips [averaging 75mph] getting 24mpg! We have the base model "S" but it is comfortable enough with really good a/c and heat. Nissan had a radiator/transmission problem for this model year that we found through research and made the necessary repairs before it could happen. For a rwd vehicle it handles great in the snow....This suv is mounted on a real pickup truck frame and has a 5,000 lb towing capacity. Decent ground clearance, kinda tough looking...my only complaint is the tiny middle console storage compartment. The roof rack is sturdy, don't quite know what the storage box up there is for but I'll figure it out. The built-in rear bumper steps are helpful when washing it. Happy with the truck so far...

No frills 4X4

This is a no frills 4X4 off road vehicle. If your looking for a crossover, this vehicle is not for you. Ample power for off roading and towing. Reliability has been outstanding.

Love This Truck

I never thought I would own a bright yellow SUV, but this truck is wonderful. The color is more appealing every day and I'm really glad I bought it.

Good... but meh

Read above review title. The car is reliable and has adequate power. It is a truck with a big cab. Nothing special but a good value. When the road warrior apocalypse comes, I imagine a few of these will be chasing down scared survivors.

So much fun to drive. Best 4WD SUV I've driven.

"Ain't no mountain high, ain't valley low, and no river wide enough baby!" Not to mention ain't no blizzard this SUV can't handle either. Never got stuck riding on the beach. This vehicle has some bumps and bruises with a bit of rusting along the edges, which simply adds to the character of who this car is and what it's been through. The mechanical aspects of the vehicle have been kept up to date and are in very good condition. Hoping to find a buyer who will appreciate the Xterra as I do.
