Reliable
This car is reliable only for its engine. If you buy the trims for this vehicle are very poor. The lowest model includes manual windows, not power. The rear space is very ample. But the cargo space is good. The muffler will make a noise. The Xterra eats gas.

lots of fun to drive, turns heads, everything is close by, you dont have to stretch for any controls, it has more than enough power but handles very well

Lots of Noise
We purchased our 2006 Nissan X-terra back in March 2006, since then we've had to take it back to the shop 4 times, just recently it's started making a LOUD humming noise, so loud it can be heard over the $900 stereo system. I've driven a new car/truck almost every year (for the past 23 years) and I have to say, I'm not impressed with this vehicle. Add a brush guard and the steering becomes heavy and combersome, seats are comfortable, but only for a 1/2 day ride. The service I get is lacking the tech knowledge to add or correct any problems...I expected a lot more out of this car and Nissan all together....Really disappointed...I won't buy another Nissan again.
