It ROCKS!
I've owned my G-8 GT for a little over a year. Purchased it used with 15,000 miles on the clock. It was a GM corporate vehicle. GM has a long history of getting a car right and then killing it. The G-8 is SO RIGHT they had to kill off Pontiac just to be internally consistant. Good looks, blistering performance and comfortable. The only annoying thing so far is a rattle in the rear deck partially due to the subwoofer I think. It is fun to just L-E-A-V-E everyone but maybe a Vette or a Porsche sitting at a light. The GT is crazy fast. The GXP version with another @60 hp may well be the ultimate modern sleeper. I've got an old crome bumper Vette and the G-8 feels a lot faster. I average 19-20 mpg in mixed driving and have gotten about 23-24 on the highway at 70-75 mph. GM will be even more stupid than usual if they do not bring this car back as a Chevy/Buick. The front of the car should be changed as little as possible. The back could use a bit more personality.

Can't Beat It
Let's make things simple. Pontiac by far produced it's best car, however, too bad it's last before they went under. You honestly can not beat the price for what you are getting with either the stock, GT, or even the GXP model. I own a 2009 GT and bought it at 24.5K with 12K miles, fully loaded not to mention. For the specs the car has not only under the hood due to its performance, but also everything from the design of the interior providing a massive amount of room, the storage space in the trunk, the safety features, you name it for a 4 door sedan this car has. And while being a 4 door sedan it handles nothing like one, no, it performs like a monster bred from the fires of the underworld unleased onto the blacktop to prove it's no pushover. I have never been happier with a car and never had so many people turn their heads to look at it while driving down the road. Due to it's limited supply for only being produced for 2 years she's not a car you spot every 60 seconds while driving down the highway. If you're looking for either a family car, a sports car, or even a car yo just cruise around in then I highly recommend the G8. Unbelievable car. - Matt . MI

I LOVE this car!
I drive a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT that has been performance tuned. We have also installed a Cold Air Intake and Magnaflow Catback exhaust system. The one & only dislike is the cup holders in the front...but I LOVE this car, so I will except that only flaw!!

What has GM done?
Too bad GM decided to abandon the Pontiac line. This is the most fun I've had driving in years; handling, acceleration, braking, looks, even gets good mileage. I drive a car hard and for long distances, and it's been total excitement. If you can buy one, get it!

Awesome car with a little something
Hi guys I am here because I just recently traded my G8 GT, even though it is a fun car it is not a great daily driver. The V8 is very thirsty and even though it does have the active fuel management its still not light on gas. In addition to that the car does have a constant flaw being the front suspension... it is garbage, I've had the controls arms changed on each side as well as my right front strut and mount. The car itself is a blast to drive and with some modifications it really opens up the engine. However the constant clicking sound from the front of the car became a nuisance and I was just about to have it worked on again until I was fed up enough to just trade the darn thing, its was being fixed for free but what about when the warranty runs out. General Motors hasn't done anything to improve the design and has pretty much cut the G8 off with Pontiac's demise. I am not trying to dissuade anyone from buying this car if you love fast cars with A LOT of room on the inside go for it, but if you want it as a daily driver be prepared to put up with the rattling, and a lot of fuel consumption. I also wasn't to crazy about the comfort of the seats, they are to racing inspired and the headrest ended up giving me a stiff neck a lot of the times, that is just my personal opinion. Make sure that when you test drive it to turn off the radio and go over some bumps in the road and listen for clicking or rattling sonds coming from the front suspension if ti does then I would be weary about buying the car AND if you do end up buying that specific car make sure the control arms and strut mounts are changed, this is a reoccurring problem with pretty much every G8 driver I've met. You can go onto G8 message boards and there is always some threads about the situation.

Awesome performance, great comfort, excellent
The G8 is a driver's machine. Great balance, handling, braking and all out performance. Muscle car performance with sports car handling and luxury ride. Huge comfortable backseat, enormous trunk. Good mileage (25 mpg highway) for a V8 performance sedan.

Best Bang for Your Buck
Hi performance and handling, sexy styling inside and out, fairly rare so you're not seeing "your" car every 6th car (like a Charger, Lexus, BMW). Top tier performance, this car can take on all but the very highest performance vehicles (thate are 3-4 times the price and more!) If you can, buy one, you won't regret it.

Gr8G8
The car not many know about and fewer own. I debated getting the manual GXP but I already have another std so it wasnt a big deal to pass on not paying an extra 10k for that + HP option. the GT model I bought was loaded new and I love it over a year later, keeping it pristine and the miles are about all during the nice weather, though I did get caught in a rainstorm with it out once it rides great in wet roads too. If you live in northern climates, I'd never have it in snow to test that capability even though the G8 six-cyl might be adequate I'd doubt the GT or GXP would handle it.
