2005 Pontiac Grand Prix consumer reviews

This car met a lot of my needs for time I have had it. The back has good leg room, and the trunk is very spacious. I haven't had any major, get-rid-of-this-car issues with it since I have had it. It is a 12-year old car and is still running reliably.

Had to trade in after having for 10 years. Bought at 45,000 miles and was still running good at trade in 170,000. Wish I could've found the same exact car to purchase but they don't make anymore. Needed something new with less miles. Miss it though.

This car is great i love everything about it. very reliable gm 3800 engine no major issues at 130000 miles. Gas mileage is decent performance is good. Interior is very nice good quality and very comfortable seats.

I've had 2 grand grand prix' an 04 and a 05 I love both of them my 05 was a base model and my 04 is a GT with the works leather,heated seats, sunroof Etc.....I bought my 04 with 189,000 miles in 2015 and now it's still rolling with 216,000 miles... only with doing regular maintenance Items on it nothing major..Great car...Hate that they cut the whole Pontiac line honestly!

SWEETEST car i have ever owned. runs and drives like a racecar,,,,comfortable and reliable. I wish they still made these cars! i dont know what pontiac wa sthinking ehn they stopped production. i recomend this car to anyone that loves to drive!!!!!!

I said I would never buy a new car again, both got a really Good deal on this car when I bought in 2005. Transmission went at about 150,000 miles but found replacement with only 25,000 miles, cost me $1,400. Other than that I've done all the work myself. Car now has 348,000 miles on it and still drive everyday, not even a rattle in the steering wheel. The cloth interior was of poor quality but I had leather Katskin put in at 290,000 miles. As prevention, I just replaced the original radiator as well as waterpump for 2nd time. But this 3.8 is phenomenal in every way! I now am a synthetic oil believer! Hope to go another 100,000 miles but if I don'the so what, I got my money's worth on this car! Still see allot of them on the road!

I started off looking at and test driving a buick lacrosse. Then I was shown a Grand Prix. I took it for a drive and right away knew it was the car for me. It is so comfortable to drive and the controls are easy to use and are angled toward the driver. I like the exterior styling, having received compliments. The interior is not as nice. Too much plastic, and limited head room . Although I like the red lighting, and the seat fabric is holding up well. The paint still looks good and I have had the windows tinted. The 3800 motor is said to be bulletproof and the tranny shifts smoothly. This is the base sedan , but comes well equipped.

This car was my first car, though I have driven other cars, I found the car very reliable for my needs. I am a full time college student who lives off campus, and I average driving 50 miles daily in this car and with regular maintenance, this car has been very good for me.

This is a great car. It was one the best cars I've had. It a shame Pontiac went out of business they are one of the most unique look cars.

I own 3 Pontiac's, this is the car used as my daily driver and I am the original owner. During the course of owning the car I have only had 2 problems that I had to take back to the dealer for repair. #1 The gas cap went bad, gave me an indicator light on the dash. #2 One of the round dash vents cracked as was coming apart at the seam. The car now has 60K miles and as never had an issue. Mileage is impressive 22 city average/ 29 mpg highway at 75 mph (speed limit here). I wish GM did not kill Pontiac, it's the best daily driver I've ever had! My only regret.....I wish I bought the sunroof.
