Unbeatable for the price

For the price that you can find these used Caymans with the outstanding Porsche Certified warranty, there's no reason to get a new German hot hatchback instead of the real deal. You'll never regret seeing it in your driveway. I also have a pickup truck and the plan is to drive the truck half of the time to keep the Porsche's mileage down... I haven't driven the truck to work since I bought the Porsche... warranty and 2.9% financing... a no brainer...

Hard to hold back... it wants to GO !!

Impressive sports car! Great design. Handling is the best- like on rails! Difficult to drive in everyday traffic because it just wants to run... full potential can never be used legally on the roads. May want to upgrade to the "S" model and PDK if $ were not an issue. Spend a lot of time driving one around before you upgrade to that level of $$$, for you may only drive this car on the weekends- traffic congestion makes this car a drag to drive. PASM may help with the stiff ride if that is an issue for you- for you will feel every bump in the pavement without it. Overall- awesome performing, handling, fun car to drive. Lots of looks... great sound! Yes- the engine is a little loud inside the cabin, but that's because of the mid-engine design.

third and final porsche

this car is the best performing porsche i've owned. it out performs the 911 on the road especially on high speed turns. it is the right size and weight which is also reflected in the gass mileage. if driven within speed limit on parkways i achieve 28 miles to the gallon. the fit and finish is typical for a superior car builder. i would recommend this car to drivers who want exceptional performance beautiful lines and deep pockets.

Best handling car I've ever driven.

Great car I have the base cayman and it is a blast. Ingress/egress is a bit difficult for a fat 46 yr old like me but well worth it. Once in the driver seat the car is comfortable. My wife and I drove to NYC the first week we had it. My wife had not driven a stick in about 8 yrs and I got sick so she had to drive into NYC. When she first got in she back it up said she wanted to take a loop or two around the parking lot to reaquaint her with manual shifting. She shifted from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and said let's go and took off up the freeway on ramp at 80 mph. She loved it. I have driven it a month now and I can't imagine ever getting rid of this car, I intend to keep it for life.

Just a dream

Been dreaming of buying a porsche since i was 5. And let me tell you, the wait was SO worth it! Got it with only 450 miles on it. As new as it can get.

Greatest handling car I have ever owned

Handles great with very good performance. The best looking car I can remember. It is a carnival on wheels.

Good Looks and Great Performance

I purchased my 2007 Cayman S in October. It has been reliable and is fun to drive secondary to the mid engine layout. Storage space is superb, although I could not use as a daily driver because my golf clubs do not fit. I get as many looks in it as my ferrari. The downside is pricey options; i would recommend only those a potential buyer really needs. The dealerships tend to have excellent service and knowledgable staff.

wonderful example of sport car

for a full sport car performance I would see appropriate an engine with 350-400 HP. Correspondingly adapted suspensions and steering characteristics would make it the most desirable sport car for the price

Great Fun

Have put 500 miles on my new 2007 cayman s, and it's been some of the most fun driving I've ever had. The handling with the mid-engine is supurb, have been able to take corners at surprisingly fast speeds without missing a beat. The ride is a little stiff for really long trips, but touring is probably not what you would buy this car for. Unbelievable on the twisty roads of East Tennessee. Could use sattelite radio and bluetooth, but small complaints in comparision with all the fun of driving this impressive car.

One word....WOW!

I've had my Cayman S for a month and absolutely love it! For under 70K pretty much loaded up it's a true bargain for a Porsche! Looks just like a 911 and handles better for LESS!! Well, that's it for now, time to go drive my Cayman S!!
